What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Washed it.

Still sitting on the shifter panel mod (part is sitting here looking at me for a week now) till i get the dash replaced.

Picked up a spare JWT filter so I can swap out the one in my car without any downtime. Found a G37 owner with a brand new one. Looks to be the same size. Let's hope I don't have a new paperweight on my hands.

Rich - the filter element SHOULD be the same size. It's the velocity stack that bolts to the MAF that is different from intake to intake.

I left my sunroof open last night and when I went out this morning I realized it had rained (luckily not too much but still). My cab was full of cherry blossoms and the seats and carpet under them were soaked. I just spent the last 6.5 hrs removing my front and rear seats and completely disassembling them on my dining room table to dry everything out by hand. I also removed the floor mats, carpet, rear seats, and center console. All of which are drying in my dining room currently. What a F%&king nightmare... I think I'm going to try to salvage the situation tomorrow by installing the rest of my sound insulation under the front seats while I have everything out. Maybe I'll snap a few pics in the process. I was so frustrated by the whole deal I only took a couple cell phone pics today to show my wife...

Anyone know of a way to make the sunroof automatically close when the ignition is turned off? I'll probably never forget it again considering what I just went through but it might still be a cool option.

Haha if you think that's bad, I have a good one. Last year, I thought I left my sunroof cracked open. It was pouring rain outside. Oh, and I was in Houston. I randomly realized I thought I left it open and had my friend go check. Luckily it was closed. But I have left it open every now and then for a bit and gotten a little wet or leaves in there.

Tchuck - Sorry to hear you got hosed, literally. As you said - Great opp to install the deadener while everything is torn up.....

I learned my lesson about leaving the sunroof open with my first new car. *THE* day I picked the car up, I brought it over to a friend's house to show it off. Went inside and left the sunroof open. We were inside for 10 minutes when we heard thunder. I ran out and it was pouring. Luckily it didn't get TOO wet but I'll NEVER leave my sunroof open when I walk away from the car anymore. Only if I'm right there where the car is (like at a meet) and it's sunny with no clouds around
