What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

No! :frown:

Oh so sorry to hear that. Well if there is one thing I learned from my accident last month is to make sure the shop uses Sherwin Williams auto paint. I hear people saying that paint matches the best. Also the shop may have the blend the paint onto the other body panels of the car so the color transition is seamless. Even though I had damage on my driver's side only, I had the shop re-blend the entire front clip of my car and it looks so good now and the match is seamless from new to old. :smile (2):

Someone decided to put a dent across my entire rear door. Looks like someone took a blunt object and dragged it across my door. No paint damage but a zig-zagged deep dent. Still trying to figure out how the heck it was even made. Fun.

Just came back from a body shop and it's $650 to repaint the entire door and $125 for dentless paint fix on the front door that got a little bit of damage.

Looks like I'm going to the meet with a dented door =(

That sucks. You still have time! It shouldn't take more than a week if you get it into the shop next week.

that sucks man.... I check my car every time before I get in it and I know I'm going to eventually have one of those days :(

Were you parallel parked? If so, might have been a cargo van/truck that smashed you.

Hate that, WHY people just skate on vehicle damage...I guess I understand it on a "if I can get away with it level" but the mentality that you can damage someones possessions and then walk. I think hit and run laws need to be established where any damages that go unreported can result in a huge fine. If people don't feel the guilt and come clean make it a penalty.....

It happened in a parking garage.

Here is a picture. You have to look hard, but you will see two long dents on the passenger side rear door. The straight line is just a reflection. The deepest dent is near the door edge, close to the passenger front door, near the handle.

It's strange right? I mean what would cause that and why would you do it? Paint is not damaged, just dented.

Somebody swipped pulling in or out next to your car....actually I've seen cars/trucks do this to other cars a few times already.....

The mysteries of car damage. My latest "incident" had rub marks over the face of my wheel spokes. Around the dent in the front quarter panel I understand but the rear wheel had NO surrounding damage. WTH, what is that low, was I hit by a midget clown car?

Try first. If it cracks, then paint it. If youve never done pdr, you'll be amazed at what can be taken out. Door panels have good memory, & if it's not close to a bend, it can be pounded nice & straight.

Installed crawford plenum today!!!

All i have to say is VROOOOOOOOM. Almost smooth installation, with the exception of a somewhat rough idle (sometimes). It happens when the car is just sitting there, the idle will be at a constant ~850 and once in awhile dip to 700 and then go back up to 850. Thinking about a TB reset but was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?

Carefully clean the throttle body first , then the TB reset. "Search " and u'll be fine. :smile (2):
