What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Every mechanic I have ever talked to about it, mentioned that doing a pressurized flush can damage seals and gaskets, and possibly dislodge(but not get rid of), potentially harmful debris/build up.
My dealership also recommended only a drain and fill... TILL they got a unit that did the flush... Then of course, that's what they recommended... My first change was just a drain and fill at the dealership and now that I have a mechanic I can trust, my second transmission fluid change was also just a drain and fill (and this guy finally fixed my issue with changing from R to D in cold weather after the fluid change -- first fluid change at the dealership to address the same issue didn't work)...

Installed BC coilovers + Megan control arms (had a shop install the rear control arms) and finally picked it up from the alignment shop.

Followed the DIY instructions by la_fx35 and the whole process wasn't too bad (front struts were a pain in the butt to get out tho)

Sweet. Love the way she seats. Love her more with all green alignment specs.
How much did the shop charge for the rear control arm installation?

Gave it a nice deep cleaning bath, then used Mothers back to black, and polished the headlights. After 4 hours I am pretty happy with the results.
Is that like a headlight restore? Did you use a kit? My baby BADLY needs a headlight restore... I've seen some friends butcher theirs on EASY headlights, but with the curves of ours, I wonder if it would be even harder to do nicely...

Yes, it is a two step headlight restore. Bought it at Walmart for like $7 bucks. I can share a pic of the bottle this afternoon once I get home.

Really easy to use and results are instant. You can use a toothbrush and tooth paste, that cleans and removes slight scratches as well.

Please do! Hopefully the Walmarts in Canada will have the kits as well! For $7, I would risk butchering my headlights :P

But I thought our headlights were glass? I guess this polishes it regardless? I'll look for it at Walmart on the way home from work tomorrow!

Headlights are plastic. Mine were in quite a bad way when I purchased last year. I polished using various products out of my collection but a specific kit may have been easier.
