What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Didn't need to la_fx35 I didn't have any oil in my 2 rear spark plug tubes. Guess I got lucky on that one. I did clean up the valve covers real nice before installing them again.

I have the Hankook rh06 in 22" as well have no issues with them. Had them for like 2 years now and thread is still like new.

Don't they have black chrome spray paint? I've seen people use it on headlight housings to make them look like the sport headlights. I don't know if that's an option at this point since I believe it has to go onto chrome and it's not fully opaque.

I originally intended on painting the emblems hyperblack but it didn't turn out as I hoped. I tried black chrome vinyl after that but that type of vinyl doesn't stretch/form very well around sharp angles.

Not it sure what I'm going to do with the trim at this point.

I do like the Kook's. I got over 60k miles on them on my 20's. Now first time on the 22's. Switching those from Pirelli Scorpion Assemetrico, which I was also happy with.
My 20's will get new Parada Spec-X (which I also had before) since they are being discontinued and there are smoking deals on right now.

almost there. A lot more work than i thought. Probably have over 30 hrs into it. All lines are inside the vehicle. Solder/heat shrunk all connections. What a pain.
changed my tanks 3 times. lol

Changed spark plugs, pcv valve, air cleaner filter and cleaned the throttle body .So I just did changed the plugs on my Charger R/T last week and found one plug loose. Well I'm not sure what the deal is but the rear plug on the passenger side on the FX was loose too. The FX has 138k on it and this was the first plug change. One spark plug well on each side had lots of oil from the valve cover seals. The old plugs had some serious wear the electrode tips were completely gone but all looked the same.
The FX had developed a small engine noise after my round trip to Portland about 6 months ago, aperantly it was the loose plug because the noise is gone now.
Got everything buttoned up but now I have a "Service Engine Soon" lit up. I have tried the pedal dance several times, I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 30 minutes and went for a drive. I still have the light? Any thoughts on what to try next?

John, the cheap OBD2 Bluetooth code readers have done me wonders for diagnosing the little stuff. Let's me know if something is serious or not and turns off codes.
Let me know if you're coming down the hill anytime soon and want to check it out.

If you have an auto zone nearby, they can have the code pulled for you and suggestions listed on their device.

Because of the oily speak plugs, will you be changing the valve covers?

I borrowed this today and pulled a p0102 MAF low input code. Reset it with code reader all normal now.
