What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Whats going on Stu?

I got this today:

I don't know how pleased I am with it though, everyone thinks it means "Fixed Up", but it was meant to be a twist on 'Fucked Up'.

And also managed to take a picture of my dashcam finally:

decently inconspicuous, (I will pull it off and plastidip the chrome around the lens black, that should help it blend a little better.)

I was just trying to swap headlights. I was able to get them loose with the bumper on, but seemed you couldn't pull them out with it on.

Yeah it was a pain in the ass when I did my headlights too.

Now that I get it though it wouldnt be hard, but first time fiddling with that bumper and the clips was a pain.

I think the problem is just that every DIY said "remove it at this clip" which is correct but they are all so different. The two just under the headlight were the worst, but surprisingly the easiest once I figured them out.

Took my rotting heat shield off finally. My neighbors I found out are good mechanics apparently who knew. Said I ever have problems let them know!

Haha yes sir Andy! Not going to lie his name is Andy too. Crazy coincidence

Meme I would have never guessed your license plates true meaning. Fixed up is what you will get!

Half way there. Turns out the lights aren't exactly the same. The ones I took off had a little shield over the ballast, but the one I put on didn't have the mounting holes for the screws.

yup some have that metal bracket covering the ballast. Matter of fact I just tossed a pair of them.

- Replaced rear rotors and pads with drilled and slotted.
- Tried to replace rear lines w/ Stoptech SS, but the line fitting was seized so badly I broke a flare wrench...again, broke one on the front too. So I'll get this
done as soon as I get a replacement and after some more soaking with PB Blaster.
- Replaced drive belts w/ Goodyear, took 10 minutes. At least something went smoothly.
- Replaced turn signals w/ LED's and installed load resistors. Got tired of staring at the orange bulb next to my red headlight projector.
- Tried to install GT Spec lower engine brace, but didn't have tool for rivet nuts. So made my own and will try again in a few days. I did undo the bolts on
the engine cradle and when I did that, dirty and rusty water poured out. So I would recommend checking that. I'm wondering whether I should drill a
drain hole.
- Was going to replace differential fluid, but realized I didn't have a 10mm hex to undo the drain bolt.

And I keep staring at the Stillen VB, I know I should do it, but I'm trying to get enough motivation to drop the tranny pan. I've done it VB's before so it's no big deal, but the thought of the mess just makes me want to lie down. Maybe this weekend.

No, headlights are still just 6K bulb. When I had them apart, I installed the TSX-R lens and painted the projector shield red. It doesn't affect the light output, but when you look at it, the projector is red (the lens magnifies the red from the projector shield). The orange bulb next to it was really clashing.

Pictures are 2 pages back, I can't view photobucket at work.

You have red headlights?
