What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Update on my check engine light situation:
Went to the dealer today, said it was a air/fuel sensor. They're going to replace it under warranty.
Gave me a G25 loaner ... wayy slower than a 35.

Update: Dealer called and said they replaced the air-fuel sensor but that wasn't the problem. Told me their going to keep it overnight to work on it tomorrow.
They're thinking its a bad catalytic converter or maybe both.
will update tomorrow....

I had a G25 as a loaner when i got my dash replaced. You are right, felt slow and the interior felt cheap(especially the steering wheel)

work on the fx today and change the in cabin filter thanks to Fire0nic3FX DIY boy after 30k some miles it wasn't tha bad as I expected

Cats are typically covered for a longer warranty period right?

Hope your car gets resolved soon. A little worrisome though that a 09 already has a issue like this.

Catalytic converters are covered in the 8 year/80,000 mile emission warranty or something like that.

Most of the time they shouldn't go bad, but I've seen them go out on cars around 50K miles, and also seen some never go out.

IIRC, Federal law mandates coverage of emissions system components for 70k. That does include cats.

Replaced all interior lights with LEDs, and the license plate lights. Looks so much more sleek and modern, and they still work with the dimming function!

Almost at 10 posts! We expect to see some pictures of your FX when you reach your allowable level to post pictures. :)

Detail the interior and wax the outside with turtle wax the black box. Boy it's a pain in the ass to wax a black FX.

I'm not worried just a little mad because its a hassle going to the dealership (30 min away), getting the loaner.. waiting for the call to say its done and hope everything is done right and there is no damage to my vehicle from the service guys.

Whether it looks dirty or not isn't always the case. Sometimes the filters may be also causing bad smells in the vents which is also a sign the filters are no good. It's why I keep mine changed once a year.

Yeah both of their catalytic converters went bad. Keep us updated on the process....

Going to the muffler shop later today to get a portion welded. It has finally rusted through and broke off. Upside to this....the exhaust is even louder...haha! I thought for a sec to just leave it cuz the sound is awesome.

That was also the reason why changed it :tongue (2):
