What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

The lenses aren't vehicle specific. I don't see why you couldn't swap. Just have to match up the diameters of the lens on your car. 2.5" is for 1G/S50 FXs. The website lists compatibility for Acura, Infiniti and Lexus apps, but it depends on your lens diameter.

Yes I went with TSXR. Oem bulbs so I'll be switching to 6k morimotos for both fogs and headlights. I can still use the DDM ballast in the fogs right? Just swap out the bulbs?

After slaving for 4 hours on Friday waxing her and stuff, momma nature decided to drop a bucket of rain on her yesterday so just finished doing what I was doing on Friday! That's one mean April's fool joke LOL.

Yep, you can swap. I'm using DDM ballasts now with Mori 6K fogs. You will probably need to get new male/female connectors for the bulbs though.

Are you using the DDM fog bulbs or did you purchase Mori fogs too? The DDM fogs are a little too blue for me, so I switched to Mori 6K fogs.

Same as you, DDM ballasts with Mori 6k bulbs to match the headlights.

Connectors? Why? Isn't it the same bulb type?

They are but with DDM and Mori, I had to buy the connectors separate on eBay. I don't know why each bulb doesn't come with them installed. Probably trying to save money. I guess you can pull off the old connectors from the old bulbs if you need to, but it's easier to buy new ones.

The morimotos don't come with the same connector as the DDMs, just the wires connected to a metal contact point. What I actually did was disassemble the plug on the existing DDM set and then use it on the morimotos. There's a rubber gasket on each lead wire and then a plastic clip within the connector that holds the metal contacts in place. Basically remove the rubber gasket, get to the clip from the front and pull the wires out the back, you can then use the connector and rubber gaskets on the morimotos.

I drove for the first time using manu-mode today in my FX. Let me say, wow, I didn't think it would make such a difference in terms of acceleration and enjoyment! I always thought they were gimmicky so I never bothered. I had an A6 for five years and never once used the tiptronic on it. On my 35 I had for two years, I used it once. It was driving back to the dealer to trade it in. I have driven Handy Andy's with the shift paddles and Transgo and that was really noticeable and fun. The manu-mode really shifts quicker, I seriously thought I had Transgo shift kit installed. Now I really can't wait to get it installed! :top:

The difference post-transgo install is utterly startling. The first time I felt a really aggressive gear change, I thought I had messed something up. After a while you get used to it but its still really fun. WOT shifts into second in the rain spin the rear tires (tire?) every time.

Did you put force up and down or you were twisting it?

I had a slight wobble in the front when I went over 60mph and I had just had the tires and wheels balanced so I checked the tie rods and the one on the driver side was really bad. I could easily move it with a little bit of force by hand and when I removed it the rubber bushing was all torn up and the stem had alot of play.
