What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Shocks, struts, strut bearings, and brake pads! Finally.

I also received my spare upper plenum today, which I plan to promptly destroy...

Baby is at the dealership getting fixed.. I'm cheating on her by driving a EX.. Which is pretty quick..

I watched my FX collect pollen as I crammed for finals...
May take a break tonight and give the FX a wash..

your problem with misfire sounds very serious :/

Yeah.. I guess I have to update some of the info on the "pulstart spark plugs thread".

Don't know the technical name for it but the very tip where the spark happenned of the spark plug broke. The piece of metal that curves over the tip.. I hope that's enough description so you guys know what I'm talking about.. Very odd.. The tech showed it to me but by the time I got my fx he got rid of it.. I wanted to take some picts and post them here.

I picked her up and she is doing great..

hmm, bigturk also noticed an intermitent miss or stumble lately in his fx too & mentioned it to me. I told him first thing I'd do is throw away the aftermarket sparkplugs & go for a new set of OE plugs... I don't believe in all the hype with the fancy revolutionary so called miracle plugs, give me a quality OE spec platinum tipped NGK or Nippondenso/denso or whatever any time. glad it wasn't a big problem for you man...

lesson learned here.. the sparkplugs are good but the way they make them is not.. is just weird..they need to invest on better material..

So is/was there a piece of a spark plug bouncing around in one of your cylinders???

yes.. the tech said he didnt find it.. so his guess was that my FX flushed out... lets hope he is right..

Man... If I was you I would get serious documentation from that tech. Hard to believe that a tiny piece of metal could go from the end of the plug to the exhaust pipe without causing some pretty serious damage. Did you get a compression test?
