Wax brand preference?

Heck that is really nice of you :smile (2):, I appreciate the offer. Within the next two weeks I will be going to the city and the Canadian Zaino Distributor is there, so I will pick some up. I will let you know how I like it.

Great to hear that you can simply pick it up. I have a hard time with getting it delivered here to NJ for some reason so I have it delivered to my parents in NY instead ?? Let me know if youre not able to grab a bottle and like I said I'll get an extra bottle for you.

Thanks , I get it where Canadian orders are distributed from, and if I just go and pick it up from them guy I get a bit of discount. It is just a 15 minute drive from my Infiniti Dealers and just under a 2 hour drive for me.

Jonas I believe Zaino is made in the USA :smile (2):

What kind of wax out there will give you that deep wett look. Im useing meguires nxt but i want a smoother and wetter/glossier look.

NXT 2.0 has been my choice for the last few years, but getting ready to try one of the new 2 year super sealants like Wolf's to see if they are as great as I hear.

I have been doing a 4 stage. (clay, paint cleaner, polish, wax) with meguilars waxes and claymagic bar. but I guess there are other multi stage setups as well, Havent heard of a sealant before. Ive been thinking to maybe step it up a bit, but i'm not sure what the next level is.

Piecing together what I have seen here, I had some questions.

jumbosrule:
"So Once a year I wash, clay, polish and seal the paint. Usually about 24 hours after I apply the sealant, I go for what I consider to be a long lasting sacrificial wax layer - Collinite 845, applied by machine, removed by hand." and "I'll apply Meguire's NXT 2.0 paste wax by machine, removed by hand."

Applied by machine removed by hand? meaning applied by orbital buffer? or another type of machine? I got an orbital buffer years ago, used it a few times, and then went back to doing it all by hand. the buffer seemed too much a pain getting into grooves and bends, and I felt like I wasted a lot of product. Is there other advantages to machine application other than being less work?

I am used to doing the sequence as: wash, clay, paint cleaner, polish, wax, wax, wax

So if I wanted to include the (Zaino Z2?) sealant in my sequence I would do: wash, clay, paint cleaner, polish, Sealant, wait 24 hours, wax, wax, wax?

(Updated Z6 to Z2 per GEE35FX)

Tom Zaino Z6 is just a gloss enhancer or detailing spray. You can use it after you wash or wax it, no problem

The sealants Zaino makes are Z2 and Z5? if you are using the Zaino sealant apply it after you wash, clay and remove swirl marks, then apply the Zaino sealant. You can apply wax over the sealant then, to give it an extra shine. You cannot apply the Zaino sealant over the wax.

Ok so I updated above with Z2 instead of Z6. What product does everyone use for getting rid of swirls? Im going to end up with an 8 stage process pretty soon, or maybe some of these are redundant?

The procedure the Zaino site has is: Dish soap, clay (Z18), Z7 show car wash, Polish lok (ZFX/Z-1), Z2 polish, Z6 gloss enhancer, repeat Z2 and Z6,

There is no wax in this setup, so I guess you would do whatever wax after all that?

Yes, you can use whatever your favorite wax is after everything else is done.
I never add wax because I like to add another coat of Zaino Z2 once or twice more through the summer.
