Hey guys

I was wondering will the Vortech Kit with 3.33 pully fit the Fx35 without any problems?

cuz i was searching for a stillen kit but i couldnt find one that suits my budgit.. but i found a Vortech kit here for around $3800 and it was installed on a Z350..

Will everthing fit perfectly without modifying? and will it be a daily use car?

i don't have any idea bs here's what i found:

I don't think the vortech supercharger kit for the Z will be a direct bolt on for the FX. There will be minor modifications needed to fit the FX.

Thanks Jojo for the info bro.

Do u think it will be daily use superchager? it wont harm the engine?
And what modifications i should put in mind to let the Vortech fit the FX?

The piping and placement of the sc would be the most of the needed modification. Other stuff to consider would be the ecu, air/fuel and boost monitoring system, tranny, engine oil coolers and most of a good tune.

i thought tranny and engine oil coolers were not needed!! because im going to generate less than 400HP

Im not worried about the tunning.. we have a good tuners here.

I'm positive that you don't NEED the tranny mods. Oil coolers always help and they're cheap and it can be done during the install.

For Vortech, you'll need modified intake tubing, possibly modified intercooler mounting brackets and definitely modified supercharger mounting brackets. The Vortech front plate where the pulleys get installed should fit since it's the same engine physically. Did you ever hear Vortech? It has a unique "broken engine" sound to it:

I just posted the additional stuff you should consider doing along with the basic sc install. Just to be on the safer side.

the best mods you could do (as of now) to your 45 are all NA. There had been some (minimal) progress on a supercharger, a bore kit and a turbo kit but nothing came to life. Basically, there's too little space for turbos, and there's not much aftermarket support for the 45. Thinking overly simple, you could fabricate a mounting plate for all the pulleys and the supercharger for a vortech, use a standalone ECU, use aftermarket injectors (if any) and go FI that way but it'll cost you a LOT and you'll have a hard time finding somebody to do this.

A single turbo and or a centrifugal SC is doable with the right custom fab shop. No room for a TT but I was told when I was doing some research that a single system was doable within the confined space.

If you think about it, a single or twin turbo setup with turbos below the engine bay (where the cats are) is doable as long as you get the following fabbed:
- Oil pan
- intake/intercooler tubing
- down pipe (easy exhaust shop fab)
- intercooler brackets

so installing a supercharger in my FX wont hurt the factory engine at all? of course if i do the few modifications you guys mentioned above..

It may or it might. Depends on a LOT of factors. You should start reading about forced induction more before attempting anything. Also, if your engine is 45, that "few" is not few anymore. It's costly, time consuming and most of the time, not feasible.

Hi there buddy. My Vortech is currently being installed. YES there are ALOT of modifications that needs to be done to make the vortech fit perfectly. Cutting the body is neccessary for the vortech to fit because the supercharger itself will rub near the strut bar (about 6 inches before it). Plus extending alot of the pipping due to the fact that our engine sits like 8 inches behind where the 350z fits. Tranny mods like valve body (hitting the rev limiter when you go WOT is kinda embarrassing) and coolers are needed to preserve engine and tranny life. If you want a direct bolt on then go with the procharger. They have a kit that bolts directly fit and finish. Altered Atmosphere made a mod that will prevent the bracket from flexing if you ever decide to change and up the pullies. Plus there all cog setup has no slippage. I will take pics for you when i get my fx back from sgp to show yall what i mean.
