Vibration issue on an '05 FX35

Yeah. I am planning to visit the dealer. But i always geard the dealer saying 40K miles or 4 years. I have FX35 2005. Are the warranty terms any diffrent for 05 models.

I have 2 months left to 4 years and have 41K miles. No extended warranty. Should the dealer still honor my warranty ?

Not sure, I thouht mine was 4-5 years, 50K, I have an 03. I would see about getting an extended warranty now. Here is something to consider as well, if you do decide to go the extended warranty route, since your manufacturer warrantly has run out it may cost you a little extra, so I would not mention that you are past your warranty coverage.

Yeah. I was looking on the internet for the warranty info. I found every where excatly what you mentioned here. 4 years / 60 K miles. I have no idea why dealer was trying to sell me warranty at 40K miles itself. Well i will work this out with them. Thanks guys for the input.

Also will see if they fix my vibration issue.

I guess having warranty handy is not a bad idea. Specially if your car is having all kind of weired problems. Sometimes i wonder, why Infiniti is vulnerable to all these issues.

In the grand scheme of things, probably considered a small issue since we are driving older models that still run pretty good. I mean if you compare mos 05 anythings to 09 and their wil probably be a huge difference...lol. I hope this helps and good luck.

FYI - theyre not supposed to sell you the extended if youre over 60K.....at least thats what ive read. I waited til last minute to get my extended as I didnt want over lapping service.

Who are we talking about not selling you a warranty, Infiniti? Cause my warranty is not with them.

Yeah don't know what Infiniti has, I went with Warranty Direct, rated as the best extended warranty in the nation at the time for bumper to bumper.

Does the dealer honor it? I ask because when I was shopping around for extended warranty I read some guys on the G35 forums that got 3rd party warranties and the dealers dont honor it and stuff or it was a big hassle to get things done.

Yep, they honored mine. This is the second time that I've had to use it. First was motor for seat went out, now steering column and seat track. They did BS around a little, but it came through.

Good to know.....

Well ya... I went to Infiniti with the issue. They did a Road Force balance and Wheel Allignment. The issue is resolved. Thats it. I got my tires balanced three times at Discount tire, and the tires will still vibrate. One trip to Infiniti and they fixed it.

Force Balance -- $50
Allignment -- $140

Also ended up buying extended warranty...
4 years / 48K miles -- 2400 base price + 270 Tax + 150 Admin Fee .......

Well they fixed the issue :), but the trip costed me 3000 bucks............. :(

Off Topic........

Did you get Zero Deductable on the extended warranty?

It covers everything. Every thing and any thing which was covered by the factory warranty in the first 4 years and is now covered by extended warranty.

Any wear and tier part, like brake pad and rotors, are not covered, just as they were not covered with factory warranty as well.

CD player and NAV is covered.

or try sending back your front rims

Well, after several months of attempting to locate the vibration om my FX the dealer finally installed a fresh set of tires & rims of off a brand new FX35. It has been determined that it is the tires. I called Yokohama and they also has verified that the tires are not a good fit for the vehicle and will not replace them; however, they will give me credit for them at Big O tires. This means I'm going to have to purchase additional tires at a higher price. I am dissapointed in the Yokohama's Parada Specx as I feel they are a good tire but the vibration in the steering wheel just drove me nuts.
