VDC OFF and SLIP on plus U1000 Error Code

Oh yeah forgot to add that when I put my scanner on I dont get any codes at all but my lights are on. Never ever happened before.

You need a tool that has good OE coverage, if you do not want to invest in one then just go to a Nissan dealer.

I assume the tool you have is basic one, that can mostly clear the "service engine soon" warning. If so then it won't help.

It is essential that you read what trouble code you got, it will narrow down the possible causes and ease the troubleshooting, it might as well save you money fixing things that do not need to be fixed.

ok so this morning I woke up and scanned the car again and this is the code I got ( P0327 knock sensor 1 circuit low input Bank 1 or 1 sensor) The thing is my fx doesnt even have a check engine light on its just the vdc off, slip, awd, and abs. Can this be the problem?

Do you have the service and repair manual of your car?

I checked mine (2004 FX45), in the EC (engine control) section, I found this code you got, it does not say that it has to be accompanied with check engine light, so far so normal:

The good news is, this seems to be a harness looseness problem, you got complete diagnostic procedure listed that is mostly continuity/ground/open circuit checking which should be pretty easy to:

Note the screen shot above is only a snap shot, you have in total 8 steps to make, please let me know if you have the manual, perform the 8 troubleshooting steps and finally let me know what you get.

You need to make sure that this is the only error code you got, I can not confirm if this error code causes the VDF-OFF .. Etc warnings, but I can safely assume it does because the ECM is an input device for the traction control systems overall.

well I called the dealer and they said it would cost me $140 just to scan the fx. for the same price I bought an Actron CP9580A autoscanner plus OBD II CAN & ABS scan tool. When it gets delivered I will scan the fx myself and see what the problem is.
 
Still waiting on the new scanner to get here so I can scan the fx and see what comes up. I topped off the brake fluid, checked the pads changed out all of the ABS/speed sensors and still the freaking lights are on :at-wits-end: Im hoping I just have to reset them and shut them off.
 
Ok so I changed all of the ABS/speed sensors. Front and rear, I also got my new scanner and when I scanned the fx it stated the front driver side ABS sensor was bad even though it was new. So I went bought another one changed it and scanned it again same thing happened front driver side ABS sensor and all my lights kept coming on after I deleted them with the scan tool. I called the dealer told them the code that kept coming up and stated that I had just replaced all the sensors and then went and bought another new one just in case the new one I had bought was defective. The guy kept searching more on the code and finally told me that the sensor was not able to read while the car was in motion. I took the whole driver side wheel assembly apart cleaned everything then I noticed that on the hub bearing there is like a rubber ring on it and it was loose on one side. I took a screwdriver and snugged it back into place so now it is nice and tight. After putting everything back together and driving it the VDC, ABS, slip, and AWD lights all turned off on there own and when I scanned it nothing came up. So now the lights are finally off. Point being it might not always be the sensors but it can have to do with the hub bearing itself like in my case with the rubber ring on the hub bearing coming apart on one side.
 
No the code was C1108 but finally got them off and everything works again :good: Thanks for all the info you gave in trying to help me fix this problem :good::good::good:

My fx45 does the same thing with those vdc and slip lights when my brake pads are really low . If you wanna test it , just try when you are about to put the car in drive don't step on the brake too hard and the light won't come on . My were the rear brake pad . Now it's working great .

In your case, low brake pads lead to low brake fluid, and low brake fluid causes VDC OFF ans SLIP light on!
When VDC OFF and SLIP light on with DTC Code, it is not a symptom of low on brake fluid.
