Turtle Wax's ICE

I used the ICE wax again today, and I tried something new with it. I actually put a light coat (didn't add any wax to the applicator) over the rear windshield, and drivers side of front windshield and it went on no problem. I'm hoping it will aid in water sheeting as well as keeping it cleaner.

I have done that. It works pefect as a water shield. But the bad side of it is that it collects dirt/dust like there is no tommorrow.

Turtle ICE products

It's so nice to hear a consensus, rather than just trying a bunch of crap that might or might not work.

I noticed a whole line of Turtle ICE products. Are there any that you guys would NOT buy?

Car wash
liquid polish
paste polish
Clay kit
Spray detailer

Just from reading this thread, I went out an bought the liquid polish and the spray detailer. I had planned on using Meguire's Carnuba wax polish twice a year, then the liquid polish every two months or so. Spray detailer after washes.

I park in my garage, but there's a lot of pollen and dust on the car at the end of the day. I usually dust with a California Duster in the mornings if it's bad.

So far I have not found a dust/pollen repeller that works.

To help with the dust problem, there is an anti-static spray detailer available out there. Here is a decent product from Chemical Guys.

I use liquid polish, and spray detailer in between polishes, works well. All the pollen comes right off with the California duster .
+1 on all of the above and I use the same on my chrome 22's.
This past winter I used the polish without buffing it off on my chrome wheels to help protect the chrome. Worked pretty good. I love that the polish goes on clear with no white residue and is really quick to do. I can do the liquid clay clean and the polish of the whole FX in under 3 hrs. The detailer works great to keep it clean and works pretty good on bugs as well. I use the polish on all my exterior plastic too.
I only use the california duster with light dust as I don't want to scratch the finish.
Mine is a 2004 and people always ask if it's new.:tup:

oh california duster ftw. i lived in west texas for 4 years, I mean used the damn thing everyday, sometimes 2x a day just to keep all the dirt off my car. the beauty was it never rained in west texas, so I could essentially dust it for almost a month. worked great. now, being back in dallas, i probably use it once a week tops, because it's probably gonna rain tomorrow anyway!
