turbocad's custom fx

Lol I know mine are satin black and the center caps turned out great out mine with the can of krylon semi-flat. Could you maybe call the place you had it done at to find out the exact color?

JB , I would use gloss black rattle can. other than the shitty paint job it had when I sold it to you, the paint color matched up pretty good.

STOP JACKING Turbos thread :bike: :tonguey:

bro, it can be hard to get a perfect match, if we just did them black they wouldn't look bad at all, but they of course wouldn't look perfect either... the black we matched up was the only thing that was a really good match but it is a low gloss paint too, & we now know that just clearing that particular black isn't the solution...

only way to get them really perfect may be to paint the rims & the caps  & no, not looking to do that either

i'm not doing that. i'll just have you paint them black :)

good, cause I didn't particularly want to do that either

don't think they'd look bad just gloss black, hard to get that tinge of blueish greyish shade it gets in some angles with the powdercoat

yeah I guess so. i'd rather have them be black and perfect rather than not match at all. when they get redone hopefully they come out a tiny bit better too. maybe it's because it is such a small piece but there were some little dips in the paint like tiny ones that somebody like me would notice...but when they get redone they will come out perfectly :)

Was being nosy but I saw the progress on the tail lights! Looks good!!!

NopWRX, I think anyone who's looked at the fx for more than 10 minutes has thought of this mod... I know I thought of it as soon as looking at the rear of the fx as I assume many would, but I always just dismissed the idea because I thought it was too simple & basic, too predictable & obvious, not custom enough. lately I've been thinking about it more though, & I got so many other things I want to do on my fx that this is starting to look like a good idea for my tails because it's relatively simple & straight foward & theres no way after it's done I can not like it really... I do want to do something way more wild but part of me really likes the stock tails too, this is just more of the good thing about the tails & eliminating the bad things at the same time, should look hot I think... will be a perfect match & just look like it belongs that way... also fits my growing theme of double... dual exhaust, double headlights, double tailights, double screens, double throttle bodies, etc... also theres hopefully a pair of twins down the road that'll fit right in

Those tails look great. Nice work John.

Another tail light batch project like the headlight?

Now, tell me what else you are NOT modding on your FX???:tongue::laugh:

Nice work. Looks like it was a tough one to get matched up. Did you paint the sides black too. Looks like you cracked them open.

I don't know about the tails John. It will be unique to other FX's but I think it may be a bit much of a good thing. I would suggest going the other route you had in mind before.
