yeah they can be controlled however you want, depending on wire routing and where they tap in. You can have them switch controlled on the inside, or you can have them hooked up with your fogs or DTRL's, etc, so that they come on whenever any of those other lights are supposed to come on. It's all about what it's tapped into.
 
how the leds light up are up to you & how there connected.... they can be lit solo & used as dtrl's or just running lamps...

haven't forgotten about these, just decembers been a really crazy month for me at work & headlight time has been few & far between... I did get a whole bunch of headlights & I did core 6 sets so far to build 6 sets of these. so far I have gutted them & cut the cores out for the inner projector bezel trim, & I also removed 6 sets of projectors & started prepping them. when everythings ready I'll open another 6 sets of headlights to start to assemble these... they may wind up taking longer than I originally thought, as they obviously already have, but they will be completed relatively soon... I've got a basement full of headlights under construction:tongue:

ha, don't take much to turn you on huh :tongue:... you should see the stacks of headlights in boxes stacked floor to ceiling twice over in my basement, I gots a lot of headlights now :cool:
 
I think it would've looked sweet replacing the original projector housing with one of these AND adding another to the center... no?
 
yeah, I played with a lot of different ideas. the possibilities are pretty much endless... there are bmw shrouds that look cool too, there are so many ways it could have been done, I have a g35 shroud with a 3" projector too that I played with, but in the end I didn't like anything matched up against the original, in otherwords it looks best when the 2 shrouds match each other, & to do 2 new different projector shrouds & then be able to build that into a complete finished bezel would have been way more work & costs & really change the look of the lights in general too.. the method I came up with is efficent & fits togeather & can be finished off well without too much drama.

this is also an area that might be cool to build a completely new bezel & maybe cast it in carbon fiber or something, but have it still be contained in the original lense. there are a lot of possibilities, after looking at many I thought my way was the best way for me to build mutiples & keep them somewhat reasonable & efficent to reproduce a small number of. to do a completely custom bezel with a mold & really go off would require either them costing big $$ & need to do a whole bunch to be worth that effort too.

I've got my hands full just building 6-8 of these already considering it involves working on at least 16 sets of headlights at the same time :tongue:. maybe sometime in the future I could develop new custom wilder bezels & then all the existing headlights that I build now could just be popped open for a bezel swap, if I did that I would follow this format & projector positioning & keep them backwards compatable anyway, but don't hold your breath on that one :wink:

alright, I'm going to make a real effort to get these ready soon, I've been procrastinating with these & starting next week I'm moving them to the front burner. I'm about 40% done at this point, when I get to about 80%, then I'll be able to give an exact delivery date, take deposits & finish off each to the specs ordered.

the hid inner is one of the wrenches in the works, now I'm determined to get them to work too. I'll update as I progress...

this is the list as it stands, no one is obligated to anything at this point. when I get these ready for assembly then I'll take deposits...

alright, guys, I'm going to have to cut this list at where it is... was really looking for 6 spots to fill but I'm doing a few extras anyway but that's it, list stops at this 8.... if anyone drops out by the time these are ready for deposits then I'll open up a spot but right now, this list is closed. :confused:
