As much as I respect their engineering, I am just gonna leave these here. The car drives so so smooth now. It's night and day!

The amount of old fluid (in quart) remains after flushes, assuming that 4 quarts are drained each time:
Original 14.00
1 -> 10.00
2 -> 7.14
3 -> 5.10
4 -> 3.64
5 -> 2.60
6 -> 1.86
7 -> 1.33
8 -> 0.95
9 -> 0.68
10 -> 0.48

Hm... I'm really considering a transmission flush now...

Please do yourself a favor, Do it! I was skeptical even though the back of head keeps saying "nothing is forever". So I did it and she shifts SOOOOO differently now. No more jerk move during down shifts anymore, (which all these year I originally thought this is a sport engine so it is supposed to shift up/down hard).

As for "life time" and "service free", a lawyer friend of mine told me about this case his firm trialed against one of these car manufacturers that claim "life time transmission". It's about this mom driving and the car nose dived in the middle of the highway. The 18wheeler in the back couldn't brake in time so hit them. Long story short, it was later concluded it was the transmission that failed. He said he literally heard them defended themselves say "life time is referred to the life time of the warranty, not life time of the vehicles".

Granted tho, the transmission can fail for many reasons, but for them to say that, it really opens my eyes.

Hold up! How did you come up with all that?! lol

If you've got one of these so called "sealed" transmissions, check out the G37/370Z type sites where I'm sure you'll find all you need to know on this topic. If your transmission has a pan, more fluid can be drained by removing it. I suppose shops or the dealer have a vacuum apparatus to extract the old while injecting the new.

I don't think it's going to cut the time and effort in half though. You may be able to drain an extra quart the first time you drop the pan, but the subsequent drains will just be the same. Granted that you will be able to clean some bad stuff by dropping the pan though.

That's part of the reason why. Magnets in the pan can be cleaned and gives one a look at possible excessive wear and tear. Pulling the pan released approx 7 quarts and the v.b. another 1/2 quart or less in the first gen fx35. A plug pull is probably 5 or less quarts.

Hello,

Did you feel these results after just two flushes or did you do more then two? Also do you think this service is justifyable to let the dealer charge me an arm and a leg to flush the transmission fluid?

I've always had a problem with how the FX shifted and I am willing to do anything to improve this.

Try a bottle of this! My FX shifts way smoother now!

I'm here just to confirm that changing the transmission fluid makes a huge difference. I did it twice so far.
first @50k and second @100K
cheap insurance and you do feel the difference.

Flushing old fluid is not going to make the sloppy-assed shifts feel any more positive. A shift kit will make a SUBSTANTIAL difference.
