Tires (265/50-20) Proxes II Vs Prada X

Hey guys. Just got my 30k service and Hankook's Ventus tires put on at dealer. Should be happy, but a little annoyed. Tires make ride nice, but when i brake steering wheel shakes. Meaning to me that they didn't do a wheel alignment or balance the tires right. I bought Mobile 1 so they can add it, and they didn't. Got new wipers and they don't come with plastic cover over clip that goes over indicator, eye sore. My air filter box was not closed properly, and they left part of their lunch under hood. That sucks, but yes, wheel alignment and balance tires -- that really should have anything to do with your steering wheel shaking while ONLY braking. If the tire/wheel balance is off, it'll most likely shake all the time or at certain speeds.

Warped rotors is more likely to do with steering wheel shake while braking.

Dealership charges an arm and a leg for wiper blade install. I think it can be anywhere from $20-$50 for install, not including parts...

I had a mechanic leave the oil cap off once, I wasn't too happy.

I found a crack on the sidewall of the driver's side front tire and am going to replace two of my tires. I was looking into getting the Parada Spec-X but I see that many of you recommend the Hankook Ventus. Are you guys talking about the RH 06 or RH 07? (I have the 265/50R-20)

RH06, fo sho. The 07 is not really an upgraded version of the 06, it's alot less aggressive looking for one.

No problem. Gripston seems cool, they're local to me so I may have to check them out next time I need tires in Dallas. Prices seem good and free pick up/free shipping is nice.

how about 295/45/20 on OEM 20"s? sidewall bulge is almost the same as 265/50/20. i can't think of any problems with a wider setup. what do you guys think?

recommended tire width range is 9.5-11 inches. OEM is 20x8". You will have much larger sidewall buldge vs 265/50/20.

Tire height, very close to OEM so no issues there.

I recommended this (295/45/20) to another member, except that he has 20x10.5" wheel.

I have the Toyo's on my OEM 20's and I'm not impressed at all. They look really nice but performance wise I've had much better tires. I got the RH06's for my new 22s, based on all the positive reviews on here. Looking forward to trying them out.

Which toyo's do you have? I really hated my first version proxes, the second versions are smooth as ice.

I have Atturo 265/ 50-20. I just got them last month. So far its been a very smooth and quiet ride. $102 for a V-rated tire aint too shabby. Nice tread pattern too.

I have the version 1 Proxes S/T, total piece of crap in my opinion. I'm glad the version 2s are better, they look like they have a much better tread pattern.

Version one proxes were terrible, I had them included with 2 used sets of rims I bought ///1483.

Version 2's are great and are not even comparable to the V1's.
