Tinting

I'm sure they all are nowadays. This is why transition glasses don't darken in the car.

My tint dealer in MI has tint that is 100% clear and is 100% UV protection and 100% keeps heat out (but you can gets shades of tint for this too). I think 3m tint does like 95% uv protection or something and blocks probably 50% or a little more of the heat.

So basically...if you need protection, eyes, skin, whatever, you can get 100% that is dedicated for it and it's even better....I wasn't happy to find that out.
 
Yaay !! I finally bit the bullet and had my fronts tinted 20% :smile (2): !!

Were you able to get a Platinum Graphite lip as of yet ?? I'm dying to see how close of a color match this is with our Graphite Shadow ?? There's a great price for this lip right now on another thread and I'm thinking of getting the lip in a silverish color so it can be painted then installed !!!

Haaaa ............... that's where i actually purchased my FX sooo looks as if I can easily pick mine up !! Its a very good price which would help since I'd still need to have it repainted UGH :at-wits-end:
 
So i've been getting harassed by west chester/philly cops for my windshield tint. The west chester cop let me go but said "i dont wanna see u around here with the windshield tinted" i dont go there ofter but wth. Anyone know the best way to remove tint? Or should i just get the shop to remove it?

I've used a razor blade, but there maybe some chemicals that can be used that I'm not aware of.

That's a shock. West Chester I can't speak for but philly cops. I'm from philly and have never been harassed about tints. Cops that I talk to say as long as they can see profile of the driver than it's fine. I just have the tints to match the factory. Have never had a problem with Philly cop or PA state troopers, or NJ cops since the dealer I go to is in Jersey

My fronts are 15%. My windshield is 50% with black interior, it makes it look 35%-20%

I removed my windshield tint due to being harassed by 2 west chester cops already. Never got a ticket. Only warnings from both cops

Just got mine done. 15% on fronts. But for some reason the rear window seems to be really light. Like 30% or something. I paid $120
