Currently working a new mod for my headlights

I am still doing some more details in the headlight (leds etc) , but I wanted to share my concept with the signal light first. I am planning on switching the signal and DTRL so that the corners (signal) will stay on all the time and DTRL will be used as the blinker...

(maybe turbocad6 can use this for a 6 HID look :wink:)

still work in progress, but these lens are attached with clear epoxy...

Still testing if I should run a yellow LED or white LED in there.

Im only concerned if the MAN will give me hassle for having the "high beams" on ?

Since most cars have one light for normal and 2 for high beam.
 
as long as your not shining above the horizon line, & you can show him that your high beams are indeed brighter & higher you should be ok I think... if your just scattering bright light then maybe you could have a problem though.. projector really scatters the light up & down, if you blind a cop they may screw with you:tongue:

That reminds me of the 2nd gen Integras that had the one piece headlights.....:laugh:
 
I had some time to put to the headlight together, now need time to put them on. (the lights will look different than stock)
I modified the bulb holder so that the DTRL will fit in the signal holder and visa versa

Wet sand with high grit sandpaper and lots of polishing with rubbing compound and wax. This is what I did with mine, takes lots of time though.
 
Looks awesome, I will have to check out the blog. I assume this is on an extra set of headlights?

ya, thanks again for the idea. (i giving you props :wink:)
I wasnt able to install the leds on the outside projector since the shroud is much thinner and with the lens in there... no room.

But that outside light will be on as my Dtrl (planning on it) and will be amber as well. i m just hoping the signal light will be bright enough in the inside position (may have to use stock filament bulb)... will see. If not then I can always try different combos since I made the bulb socket fit both signal and DTRL.

cant wait to install them and decide what to do next...

Damn that's Looking good buddy :tup:

How did you do the DTRL's....paint them as i see the black going around the corners.
Good to see all these options now with the front lights as i'm still in the market for some :glasses:
Love those leds in that light as well.
