Now that I think about I may have taken the power duct off the stock box and used it on the Stillen. I saw some pics of G's with it, and what they had just didn't fit as well as the FX one. The picture you posted has the one like I have, and the top part part of it matches up to a rubber strip on the hood that seals the hole I assume.
 
The power duct is the opening right in front of the Stillen setup where you peek through to see the air filter itself.

and what I've heard is that there are some people who have used a dremmel tool to enlarge the opening of the front of the Stillen to accommodate the power duct's opening at the back.

I guess just look at it and see if it seems like there's extra material that's worth removing. I think I know what you are talking about, but I'd have to look myself to be sure.
 
Has anyone painted their intake tube? My UTR tube has some scuffs on it.

Was wondering what I should spray on the tube since it's next to the engine?

Just use any paint you find in an auto parts store, it doesn't get that hot on the tube itself. I've painted plenty of engine bay parts with standard stuff and no issues. I'd only worry if you were painting the block itself , valve covers, or the timing chain cover.

Sweet thanks, I was just wondering as my intake air temperature sometimes reads 120F in idle
 
It's probably a slim chance that Infiniti offers a separate part number for the foam on the DVD earphones...
Has anyone found an easy replacement? (Just the foam, not all new BT headphones)

Ok so I was checking my heated seats today and when I put them in the "on hi" position both the drivers and passenger side only light up in the "low" position. I checked all the fuses they are good, took the console apart and they are both plugged in. Could it be a relay and if so where is this relay located on the first gen fx??? Any info will be appreciated thanks.
 
Ummm... I'm pretty sure there is no "high" or "low" light indicator. The light simply an indicator that the seat heater is on.

Has anyone here cleaned their MAF sensor with CRC's spray?

I just bought that spray and the TB spray to do my throttle body next week. Just need some advice on how to go about this, as I've heard good stories.. And bad stories on several VQ35 forums lol
 
MAF I have not done. When I re-oil my filter I make sure it's not too wet and let it air dry/wick for awhile so that the MAF won't get dirty. I would just follow the directions with the spray though. I wonder if you can spray it on and it will dry itself.
 
Yeah, the spray dries in about 2 seconds. I just heard the wires are sensitive.. So I was wondering how far from the sensor should I spray to not mess with those wires.

As for cleaning/reoiling my filter, I normally wash then rinse it... Let it dry overnight, then oil it, and let it dry overnight again
