The Random Question Thread

The Sport seats in the FX50S should be a simple plug-and-play swap into the FX35 right?
(certainly seems that way but just want to be sure....)

I have not heard of anyone done it before on here. Let us know if that works out.
Bummer....might be some time. Still haven't gotten the vehicle yet. And if you're wondering why don't I just get a FX50S-as much as I liked the FX50S it's simply too much power for me in a daily driver.(unless I take it to the track I'll never get to enjoy all that extra HP.)

I've been wondering about the same thing as well. I think most people don't do it because it's an expensive mod for an extra 2-way (or was it 4?) power seat option.

I may try the mod when my driver seat gets worn out.

It's 4-way.
The seats should bolt in with no issue but I believe you'll need an extra harness/power supply for the side and thigh bolsters. Then again; it might just need a little splicing and electrical tape to do the trick.

If I have that disposable cash lying around, I'd rather do BBK

I'm trying to buy the rear stabilizer bar for my FX35, does anybody have a list of parts that I need to buy in order to fit one on my FX?

Thanks

Hey guys, so I noticed my speedometer is acting odd.
It slow to react at times, especially around 40 mph. When I'm cruising, then lowering my speed slightly.. The speedometer stays the same until I reach about 30.

Also, when it finally adjusts to read my speed, the needle jumps forward then back to the correct speed.

Is there a sensor I'd have to replace or clean..? I doubt I have to replace my instrumental cluster. Tachometer works perfectly. @230K miles

Im in the middle of getting the GTR wheels ready to put on in a few days. Went to john (turbocad) and had my fenders rolled and cut. Im standing here looking at my oem wheels thinking what am i gona do with these. Anyone have an idea what newly painted (black pearl) stock 20's wrapped in yoko paradas (65% tread life) would go for?

Congratulations on the new wheels John.

If you sell it on eBay it would probably fetch between $800-1500. Here on iS around $600-750ish. I sold mine to Soon with tires and TMPS (too lazy to take them off) for a really very good price. Soon passed it on to Pman when Pat went down to stock before trading his FX in.

Which are better spark plugs iridium or platinum?

I replaced my spark plugs yesterday. I might add it was the first time I've changed a vehicle spark plugs. I have read a lot about oil in the spark plug well. Well I don't find any visible oil flooding in the wells but found 2 of the plugs on the driver's side with a little bit of oil moisture around the spark plug thread. It was not really wet but you can certainly lift a little bit moisture if you rub your fingers around it. Having no past experience with replacing spark plugs, I have no comparison to gauge if this was normal or a cause for concern.

My car had 82k on it. The plugs showed no signs of wear - the tips still pointy and well formed. The thread though had some dark discoloration. The two plugs on either side are the ones that showed some oil moisture on it. They were pulled from the driver's side no 1 and no 3.

Are these normal or I have an oil leak? Thanks in advance.

How on Earth did you manage to get to the passenger side spark plugs..? Lol driver side was easy.. But I didn't replace because I had no clearance on the passenger side

LOL. I freed some of the cable restrains, unplugged the connectors and bought a socket extenders. I bought the 6" and a 10" for the rear passenger side since it is in a tight awkward angle. I only used the 6" for the job.
