The Random Question Thread

Is it possible to sit on my roof without denting it? I'm ~160lbs
I want to lay on the car and look at the stars..

Yea Jonas I do just seeing if Costco had a good price is all.

I have a question on my TV. I got a cheap simple surround sound. MyTV doesn't have a lot of audio output options and in the settings it doesn't seem to have an option to change audio output preference. I read some samsungs don't offer different audio output. I am within a very easy return period which I may do and upgrade to a better tv and not be so cheap.

I do have the surround sound working with the ps3 and I feel like I am in the battlefield in call of duty! So it works just not the tv....thoughts recommendations?

Without excessive movement you might just get away without dents

Without a doubt it will dent, have you tried washing and polishing your FX roof? Just a thin layer of sheet metal with some light support.

Tell us how the TV, PS3, and surround sound hooked up. What type of cable you use to hookup the PS3. How do you have the TV hooked up to the surround sound?

The ps3 is through the optical and the tv doesn't have optical or coaxial so just RCA, but In the tv settings it doesn't give me an option to change output? On the ps3 there is a setting that you change from the hdmi to optical for audio output.

I think we will return the samsung (its An ok tv) and get a Vizio. Can't afford the newest samsungs unfortunately! So we will be rocking a Vizio in the basement and LG in the bedroom.

If I use a optical through the tv and the ps3 is set up through the tv I wouldn't need an additional hook up from ps3 to surround sound set up right?

Is the RCA on the TV label audio out? If so, you will have to find the menu option to redirect the audio to the audio out port. Only fancier TV set that I know would have audio out so that you can pipe the audio into your surround sound or an receiver. For your current setup, if you hook the PS3 to TV and then TV to your surround sound, you don't need to hook up the PS3 to the surround sound.

An audio video receiver is the ideal solution. You would connect your TV, PS3, BD Player and what other audio video devices you may have to it.
