The Random Question Thread

Would I be able to get the condensation out of the headlights myself on a weekend?

Or should I let somebody with a little more experience do it?

Depending on how much condensation in the headlights. If only a little, remove all bulbs and use a hair dryer and blow thru the bulb sockets. There is very little room to aim the hair dryer into the bulb socket with the headlight on the car though. Certainly worth the try if you don't want to take the headlight of the car, open it up and reseal it. Perhaps, if there is little condensation, simply heat up the headlight and press lens up against the backing should fix the problem.

Here is the link on how to bake your headlight in the oven to open it up. https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=90-Take-Apart-Those-Headlights

For some reason, every time I reverse.. as soon I come to a stop I hear a click.
Kinda like backing out of a garage? ..Is that normal?

Is anyone here a member of (or have a recommendation of) a good swimming pool forum? I want to join a good one and don't want to hang around in "pools.ORG" only to find a much better "poolSCENE.com" later on.

Does anyone know when Andy will kindly give me his wheels as a gift for my b day?

RIP, did you get hit with very heavy rain? I was heavy heavy rain literally within the hour after we split.

Ya I was right behind Andy the whole way back home and it poured really hard. We def got lucky missing the rain during the meet. It worked out so perfect :). I'm glad I got to finally meet you Jonas, love your fx. I wish I had the 50 and the tint job you have.

Well lets see....I wish I had your ark exhaust....your color.....your full aero kit.....your ride height....lol

White has always been my fav color but yours tops it.

Now we just both need to buy the new FX50S blue ones in a few years and we'll be set. ;)

I starting to really love the 2012+ look as well. Our 2009-2011 look is starting to look dated being less aggressive.

Haha maybe next meet, we might both have the iridium blue 50 lol. Great to meet you man, good times. The crazy thing is my first choice in any vehicle is always white.

Dang Jonas…Dated. I just picked up my 2009.

Hmmm, lets see who said he didn't have money grew from tree, Jonas? Perhaps a more econo route would be a bumper cover upgrade? Did one member did that already?

Rip, by Andy, you mean Andrew (AeroBFA with the copper FX) I know you have your eyes on his wheel for the longest time :smile (2):

Random question about insurance...

So i've seen recently on a lot of other forums, people always suggesting to go through insurance, even if the accident was their car versus a wall, and they are 100% fault, or if it was a hit & run but the other party didn't leave a note. I'm confused because my understanding is that, the insurance company will always win (whether if it is through future premiums/etc) if you go through insurance in situations like these. In the past, I've always just sucked it up and covered the cost of the repair even if i could have saved by just paying the deductible under the assumption that any accident where i am at fault / no 3rd party to blame, my insurance rates will most likely increase. Thoughts?

P.S. - No was not involved in an accident. Just saw a few of these threads pop up in the past week or so and peaked me curiosity.

NEED HELP. I've been procrastinating on putting on my 4 Point Front Ladder Brace & 2 Point Rear Tie Brace since we moved to an apartment after we got flooded by Sandy. Now that we're back home and the weather is getting better i intend to put it on. Any tips on installing the braces? Torque Specs? Thanks in advance.

Anyone know if it's possible to buy the exhaust tips that come on the IPL g37? Or should I just get some aftermarket tips that are the same diameter? Everytime I come up behind an IPL I stare at the exhaust and really want the tips paintef flat black. Anyone know the diameter of them?

Not sure about buying the tips. I wouldn't try to paint the tips. Paint will crack and feel in a few days. Powder-coating the tips may give you maybe a year of good looks.
