The Random Question Thread

Thanks so much!! The FX isnt listed as a car that it fits, should I be worried about that?

The SPC 72265 works on our FX. I have installed the SPC kit on mine and a couple local FXs. A few other on here have this kit on their FX too.

I have marek's led rings on headlamps and because of hit on the lamps, 3 leds stop working. Is it possible to change these 3 leds or I would have to buy a new ring? I've also try to contact customdesignz but no answer till now. Thanx for help.

I have a his LED rings as well and a few doesn't lit up caused by me. I tried to replace them without any luck. Customdesignz = Marek. He hasn't bee on here for quite sometimes now. The best bet, it to replace with different rings.

So my shift knob (not on a FX) won't come off. Its just a simple lefty loosely, righty tighty, but the threaded plastic insert inside the shift knob is seized and only the outside leather shell is spinning, forever. I've used some large pliers in an attempt to squish and unseize the insert with no luck. Did some searching and realized this is a common problem on the miata, where people ended up going surgical and cutting the knob.

Does anyone have suggestions before i go surgical? The knob is an "oem+" add-on so i don't want to destroy it just yet.

Thanks!

Hmm, I understand that using a large pliers will cause damage to the knob, so you probably didn't gave it all you got the pliers. Try something like these, which doesn't "hurt" the finish of the knob so much that you would exert more muscle to it.

Just wanted to follow up. I didn't get the shift knob off yet but i contacted Sewell parts where i had bought it from (they also sell infiniti, lexus parts). A new knob is on the way, free of charge. Props to great customer service :good:

My dads 2011 ram cummins diesel has been stuck in the shop for over a month. We were having emissions deletes installed on it and after loading the engine tune, it would try to crank but not start. Have had it at two different mechanics, tried loading multiple tunes with no success. It is throwing a pressure sensor code that makes the truck shut down after a certain amount of time. Im not sure if you guys have any knowledge about diesels, but if you do please chime in with any ideas. The idea of a 60,000 dollar paper weight is getting old fast.

Thanks so much guys for the info on the camber bolts. I went ahead and ordered those, would the guys at firestone who do the alignments be willing to install these as they're doing another alignment for me or should I just get it done at a shop and do it myself?
