The long awaited gtspec group buy

I have noticed people referencing GT Spec bracing in various posts (such as will an aftermarket exhaust still have enough clearance for the rear brace), but I'm not exactly clear on its application. So here goes a few newb questions: Performance-wise what does the bracing actually do for the vehicle? Is this a good mod only for those who track/auto-cross their vehicles? Thanks in advance for your answers.

So that were on the same page 1318 is the longer angled one. GTSpec is charging $10 more for that piece compared to 1317.

Is the rear lower lateral GTS-SUS-1318 the one that hits the stillen exhaust?

I have mine Lower Engine tie on back order since April 28th. Till then I have still not receiving my brace. Apparently, GT-Spec (Summit manufacturing the bracing) in TW are producing those bracings only if the demands has reached to certain quantity.
 
well, I hope we get the 20 sales and that speeds it up.
So is it 20 people that are needed for the GB or just 20 items?

looking at the list we have 8 items
 
Great addition to the FX.. I won't spoil the fun.. But once you install them you'll feel the difference.. I was driving a FX without the braces.. And it felt so looooose.. Whoever gets them will be pleased. And +1 on GTO comment.. The full set is the way to go.. And it's the best bang for the bucks. Later on you'll be regreting not getting the full set.

Also I'm a bit confused.. I was browing thru a website and I saw a picture of a 6 point engine brace by GTspec.. I thought they only make 4 point brace for the FX.
 
Yeah Rubare, I am pretty sure I'll step up for the full meal deal, sounds like I don't want to miss out on the "brace package". Considering that the springs and the STB made a difference, the full set of braces should be a kick. Everything is pretty much owner installation style stuff right?

Regarding the back order braces is there any more feed back on the lead time for this product? Exactly which ones are back ordered? If we get GTSPEC to place the order august 1st AND the factory can be pushed on production timing in Taiwan (assuming we meet their MOQ) they will produce in say 20-25 days with 5 days to port, 20 days on a fast boat, 10 days to clear, 10 days to process and ship. Realistically we could be looking at a best delivery time of 90+ days out from today. When will we need to provide payment on the order Elguapo?
 
If you have a Jack and jackstands you will be able to install the
in no time bro.. That's how simple it is.. The only confusing one is the front brace.. They bring this pieces that need to be attached to the frame in order to screw the bolts that will be holding the brace in place..

Crap I wish i could explain more clearly but when you get them you'll see what I'm talking about.. Beside that is an easy install

Rears are really easy, fronts are a huge pain. The rears are just two bolts per bar, while the fronts, well, I can't count all the bolts that were loosened because I don't even remember.
 
It aint too bad . . if you've got a lift & an air gun, but ya agree, gotta loosen some steering parts
 
Just an FYI - when I ordered my set from Upscale Auto, the prices I got for a single buy are the same as these group buy prices. Can't remember if shipping was extra, but Upscale Auto should be able to tell you.

I had to wait for the back-order (production run) to be filled, but it was and worth the wait.

Installation was pretty easy for all of them EXCEPT for the ladder brace. Seriously a pain. Ended up paying the dealer $250 to install the $211 part!!! I did not get the lower rear brace because it interferes with the Stillen exhaust (also described in the thread).

They definitely make a difference as a full set. You MIGHT be able to tell if you removed one that you had before, but you will only notice an improvement when you add braces. It should feel good. But better with all of them.

20 Items, not 20 people.

BTW We will answer all other shipping questions as soon as we hear back frmo GTSPEC about the costs... on Monday
