The dreaded "empty fuel gauge" when full of gas

wondering. When i am replaceing the fuel sending unit and the fuel pump assembly do i have to set the floater arm in any way?? I changed the fuel sending unit on my 2011 FX35 lastnight and it did not fix the issue so im going to replace the fuel pump assembly with the attached sending unit this wknd..

What good timing!! Happened to me Friday.

I skimmed the forum and it Appears some kind of retention clip is under engineered and allowes the sender unit to twist and get stuck.

I haven't screwed with mine yet, but why don't you be a pal and let me know what fixes it? Hell maybe even a picture :P

My tank is slaaaaap full right now, but when I run it down to about 1/4 or less (Guessing... hope I dont run out) Im going to pull out the sender unit and fuel pump assembly and sender unit. (Tank is split in 2 sides)

At which point ill see if I can DIY fix or if new hardware is needed.

So based on the TSB I found on ALl Data DIY (Shows how to pull fuel pump and fix) - This can be fixed for 47$ in parts. Im placing the order now. Follow the first link I posted cause thats where Ill post if it works or not.

I was able to fix my issue. See the forum I linked like 2 post up.
