Look at Soon always looking out for members on :iS:, by the way thanks for the updated item you hooked me up with.

I finally decided on the Akebono bbk for my '06 45 from Concept Z Performance. So, I will need this kit to retrofit the rear knuckles, correct?

Yes, this balljoint kit goes with the gen2 (fx50/fx35) rear knuckles.

So, for gen1 do I need to buy gen2 knuckles as well as this kit?

If you own a 2006 fx45 and want to retro fit the rear bbk akebono, you'll need this balljoint kit, gen2 rear knuckles, rear bbk calipers, fx50 rear rotors (g37/370z/m56 rear rotors wont work due to the smaller parking brake hat) , and trimming of the rear dust shield.

Thanks Soonster. Just what I needed. Now to find rear knuckles for a better deal than the $359 dealer price....

Ugh.I know, but it'll be stock replacements for now (tax season). Slotted Cryos, lines & Porter pads that I already had. We'll see if they hold up to my beating
Understood, priorities comes first.

Just a clear understanding, the kit includes the following:

Yeah the dust shield needs to be trimmed a bit just to make a little room. I have had to do this on other vehicles previously. No big deal.

I'm buying a set of the bolts from Soonster. Might as well before they become extinct. Still not entirely sure what my plans are but if I don't buy these and I want to do the retro later I am going to kick myself.

Thanks Soonster! :rotfl:

Great, they are limited supplies remaining (~10 qty) and unlikely to be reproduced by Turbocad.

And that's why I picked up a set. Everything else is off the shelf, but without these, it's not a feasible project since you'd have to get a set custom machined.

Debating on whether to pick up a set just incase i decide not to sell the car in the summer. If i dont sell the car and dont pick up a kit ill be kicking myself everytime i see my rear brakes :at-wits-end:

if you pick them up and dont use them I dont think you would have a hard time selling them for what you paid for them

I'm the balls dealer if shipped or meet the "MAN" directly at his shop in picking these up.

PM me and I'll provide you his address and contact #. I'm sure his pm box is overloaded, it was last I checked.
