and even if you have alarm make sure you have a back up battery which can be purchased so that if they cut your alarm the back battery will kick in.

might want to invest in some home surveillance cameras also..pointing at the driveway. i would not hesitate one bit to shoot these people if they were in my property trying to pull off this $hit.

From working in shops as a mechanic i seen tools and home made tools which are crazy. I seen one time a buddy take a multi point socket and hammer it on the wheel lock and turn and whala it's off.

Oh great, now that I have custom wheels coming soon, I'm going to be paranoid every minute my car is sitting outside. Seems like wheel locks won't really help either? Or it seems like the thieves just take the OEM wheels, quick and easy?

The thieves go after what is in demand at the moment and has high cost. They drive around in a van looking at night and during the day the scope out areas oh where the car is to see your work schedule. (hence when your home and not home). When i was working in one shop near Shea Stadium, random guys would come in and ask if anyone in the shop if they want rims at a good price. I was curious and i said what do you have. He said come with me. I walked with him to his van and i couldn't beleive the rims he had in there. Rims from range rovers, audis, custom wheels, infiniti, and nissan wheels. Range from $500-$1000 a set. I asked him where you did you get these and he goes to me come on now.
It sucks we have to be paranoid at any time of the day of our rides. Seems as though we figure out a way to keep things from getting stolen and then there is a matter of time before thieves figure out how to get it.

Woke up today and saw my center caps were gone on the left side. Looks like they were in the middle of stealing the rims and got spooked.....or maybe they just needed 2 center caps??? lol sucks
