So recently my steering wheel is making a squeaky noise. it squeaks when i turn my wheel. so i hit a few pot holes last couple weeks but not sure if this is the cause. Any suggestions or that might cause it?

So where is the noise coming from? Directly at the steering wheel? Or further down? I don't think hitting potholes would make the actual wheel squeak when turning. There are several components between wheels and actual steering wheel. Potholes can damage suspension, but it would have to go all the way through tie rods, then the steering rack, then column to cause an issue with steering wheel.

Squeek sound

I had a problem with steering wheel that makes one clunk noise whenever I try to make turned from under the dash and I' trying to find out where it coming from too

I just listened to your video on YouTube. It sounds like it is one of the bushings in your steering column. There are ball bearings but there are also bushings present in there. there is an old mechanic's trick of using a piece of tubing to find the source of a vacuum leak or a bad bearing, etcetera. Take a piece of fuel line hose, maybe 5/16s or 3/8 inch, and 3 feet long or so and put one end up to your ear and then move the other end around and touch the areas in question. You can use this to find a bad water pump, a bad bearing or pulley, etc. If someone will wiggle your steering wheel back and forth and you take off the cover underneath, then you will be able to touch different parts of it with the end of the hose and you will immediately hear the part that is causing the problem. Very straightforward to do and you will absolutely know when you find the source. Please try this and let us know how it goes. Once you find where the area is, you can spray some lubricant in there and your problem we'll probably go away. PB Blaster is a great one. Good luck and please let us know how it goes

I actually have the same squeezing noise coming from the steering wheel. It happens when I move it left to right it's annoying

i sprayed sprayed some lube on the bearings ( i think there where bearings). it worked for a bit but came right back. i got a feeling its part of a recall something about the shaft isn;t round

Hey I know this thread is old but I want to say my steering wheel is making squeaking noises too. It happens when I turn on the car and the steering column moves and occasionally when I turn the wheel 2 rotations to the right.

Any ideas? I'll try lubing it up!

Mine does the same thing. Only seems to happen after the AC has been on for a few minutes. Something in the wheel/column must be contracting with the temperature change.

I actually had that issue and when I changed the front brake pads it stopped. It started back up so it might be a sign that I need to replace my pads again.
