Snow performance?

I'm thinking of trading in an 01 QX4. How is the EX in snow? Any drivers this past winter have experience with the EX 35? Thanks.

From what I have heard from a previous EX forum, compared to the G35, the EX35 suppoosedly out performes it. My 2002 Mercedes ML350 had a decent AWD system in it, but the EX is like a goddess on ice compared to it. So far I have been able to drive in 8 1/2 inches of snow in a 24" blizzard (Obviously the road always have less snow because streets get plowed constantly) and it did extremely well. It felt like I was driving on clouds, it wasn't rough either even on hard snow/ice. So far one of the best AWD's I have driven (three for four diff ones tested).

I traded my QX4 in for my FX35 AWD and the FX does great in the snow but you do need to be more carefull because the EX or FX will accelerate ALLOT more than the QX does.Thats probably what I like most the unbeleivable difference in power.Iv'e had the FX out on my 22's in 2' of fresh snow with snow mode off and it handled great I just had to watch my leadfoot:biggrin: or the back end would slide out due to the rear bias.In snow mode the transfercase bias changes to 50/50 front and rear and the throttle is cut back to make it more stable. All in all the AWD's do pretty well in the snow of course the right tires are very important as well.

Have my EX35 2011 since one month in Québec Canada and the EX is awesome on the snow ! Off the traction control, put it at Drive Sport and have fun !
