Silver Surfer - FX45 :: 2006 Infiniti FX45

Oohhh can you let me know when the inaugural drive is. I want to witness this piece of history.

You are in, going to be a lag time between break in, re- tune and real driving.....

Wow, those headers are big fat meanies :wink (2): They look awesome. Just hope it won't to obnoxious with the sound volume.
Interesting how we both traded out for quieter systems then I do this....my gut read is that I'll end up doing the HFC's to knock the sound down.

Wow what talent your mechanic has, very nice work on those headers and everything else.
That puppy is going to sound wicked.
Talented and a great guy as well, should sound unique, that's for sure.

Wowwww! I want!

seen a guy on the mb forums building a C63 black all out 700hp build, heads, cams, supercharger, the whole nine... big dollar triple digit, top notch professional build...

his headers look just like your headers. that's the real deal sh*t right there :top: I can't imagine the anticipation to actually hear this thing run & drive... wait, scratch that... maybe I can imagine something like it :smile (2):

Damn, I'd like to see that...or better yet drive it, 700 HP would make for a nice daily =). My end all would be a S/C on top of the DE. Don't know HOW you are doing it John, coming up on week five and the woman of my dreams is getting very edgy......maybe it's the Ford Focus rental?

Both headers tacked and finally ready for welding and coating..build thread will have all new images attached.

Hey Lance,

Curious about this picture

I see there are two clamps behind the tips. Were those from the invidia exhaust or is this for the nismo exhaust tip extensions? If it is the later, any more details on the clamps/extension process/costs? I just retrofitted a g35 GReddy and need to get the tips extended also. Thanks!

Hey Pat,

Sorry, old Invidia pic planning on updating if I ever get the FX back. The Nismo tips are welded up but that would have been really nice to have to option to adjust the length. I'm all about infinite adjustibility :)

Soooooo... Any light as to when everything's is going I get wrapped up lance?

Last comment from the shop - manifold reworked (exterior) and ready to recoat. Headers also in but a little more labor intensive. Hoping for everything back by Friday and reassembled over the weekend. I've given up on hard dates....

You meant Ruckus. There are little gangs of them around Portland that roll around like this one - HEAVILY modded. Straight pipes, ape hanger bars, motor swaps, drag race swingarm extensions, tattoos, brain buckets, leather, the works. It's quite an awesome sight.
