Silver Surfer - FX45 :: 2006 Infiniti FX45

I Like The Tuck Look,Glad Ur Finally Back To Surfer Full Status And Having Some Fun Lance.

Thanks Joe, dialing the ride back in has been a challenge,. So many variables when its all taken part to rethink but its close to completion and its even better in some areas. The power is fun.

Hey Lance, I see you're on a Handi spot. Hope the fracture healing good. Anyhow, I personally like the flush looking with the GTRs. Maybe because too much silver?
healing well man I'll miss parking in pole position =) Hey, you are the first one to step up and call out the 21's over the GTR's! I do feel the tone on tone is an issue and would like to see what the 21's would look like slightly darker not as dark as full gunmetal but somewhere in between, perhaps a titanium? I do like the larger diameter and the mass of the wheel, it seems to offset the FX body well.

I've been struggling trying to nail the ET thing, thanks for pointing that out. What's on your list for mod work?

Well, achieved! I would either like to get some aftermarket black/dark grey rims, or powder-coat the factory ones. I would also like to continue blacking it out to give it a stealthy mysterious aggressive look (perhaps a dark grey instead). I would like to do some of the low hanging fruit to increase performance such as intake, exhaust, and ?? Also, I know this may be a bit weird as I haven't seen it really done much at all, but I would like to add some hood vents too (black or perhaps carbon fiber). They can go really wrong, but I think if they were done with dark on dark, it would ad a really subtle aggressiveness. Like there is so much explosive heat under the engine it would blow up without them. It would also help differentiate it given the lack of popularity. I'm sure there are others too, but I don't know what they are yet.

the surfer has its own planet

Indeed.

First mods should be H&R springs or even better Coilovers. Also the best rims are OEM GTRs see my garage for pics. Just my opinion

I agree with Sir21, Springs are an awesome 1st mod but CO's are the end game (save up for them, including install they're not that bad over springs) GTR wheels are hard to beat for both weight and looks. Man....hood vents have been kicked around a number of times and they are very hard to work into the lines of the FX. Many other rides with hard edges its not as difficult, maybe photoshop up some examples? There is an FX on the forum that has vents that are flush to the hood surface that didn't turn out too bad.

Honestly I'd save my funds for less expensive immediate results mods, pace yourself and come up with a financial plan. After all the FX is a lifestyle not just some fly-by-night SUV =)

Ha, secret mods........The silver wheels on the silver body isn't really doing it, was waiting for the correct color to post up! I'll take a quick pic today, at least the height is correct, still fooling with the spacers, 35's in front, 30's in back and still not spot on.

Still haven't had the 21's painted yet, going to raise the rear 3/4".
