Rear Wiper Blade Replacement

I just replaced my rear wiper without removing the arm. It probably took about the same time as removing the whole arm, but that's becuase it was my first time trying it out. It just slides out towards the driver's side as long as you pull down on the wiper blade tip enough to clear the arm's stop.

I replaced the OEM blade with a generic ProLine blade from Pep Boy's (a chain out here in CA). It was the same part number as the 01-04 Toyota Sequoia FYI. I reused the same removable metal guides that came with the original wiper since the did not have the locking mechanism at one end of the replacement blade. It went in easy enough but it's about 1/4" too long. Otherwise it works pretty well. What would be the best way to cut the rubber blade anyway?

usually, you just replace the whole assembly. $10 bucks & you have a new non-faded arm. Even easier than changing a blade

Dang. This was the only wiper blade assembly the parts store had, so I decided to go with it. I'll do the whole assembly next time for sure.

Oh well.
They do carry an aftermarket one at AutoZone. They had it in stock last time I was there getting some new fuzzy dice. Fits purfectly

I need to replace my rear wiper blade as it is falling apart. First time in 6 years lol. From the looks of the parts diagram, if you order the Replacement Arm does it also come with a new Wiper Blade and Wiper Insert? Do I need to order parts 1, 4 and 5?

Just #4. #5 is included if you buy #4. #1, you just re-use yours.

Slip the cap off, remove the bolt, remove #1, then replace #4. Let me know if you need more instructions. I've done this 3 times.
