Hi boys

So i took my car to my mechanic since I was hearing a clunk sound when I put my foot on the gas, the sound was coming from the back.

My mechanic said it's from the rear cross member bushing and that part always fails. Hes an infiniti expert and said all the cars hes worked on had that part broken or failing.

He mentioned the infiniti dealer would sell you the whole rear crossmember bar which costs around 1,000 dollars.

I've checked online to find just the bushing itself but I'm getting a bunch of different bushing and I cant figure out which one would fit on my qx70.

Does anyone know where I can order one?

I don't know if this is the correct solution, but I did it. For my FX45 I bought an aftermarket bushing for a G35, measured the diameter of the stud on the diff cover and drilled the G35 bushing center hole slightly larger to clear the FX stud. Pressed the new one in place and it has been fine for a few years now. The cost was less than $100 plus a lot of my labor. Infiniti wanted a lot of money for the subframe and many hours for the install. The hardest part was getting the old bushing out of the subframe.

It looks like mine was leaking worse than yours. I don't know why my pics are sideways.

Thanks for the reply!

I am not so mechanically inclined like you, so I was asking if there is an aftermarket part i can by from somewhere online so I can have my mechanic pop the old one out and replace it. Like you said the dealership wanted to replace the whole frame.

I have a 2010 FX35 and a 2010 G37x sedan. On the G37 this leaking bushing is very common and I had it replaced with Whiteline KDT911 Differential Bushing purchased from Amazon. From my research, the FX differential's inner bushing diameter is slightly larger than the G37 and would need to be drilled to enlarge the hole. My FX35 differential bushing started to leak as well and what I did was inject some construction adhesive into it, I also read about this fix from G forums. So far I don't notice any issues on my FX and I am in no way suggesting you do what I did, but if I ever need a permanent fix, I would purchase the same Whiteline bushing and get the hole enlarged to fit.

1/2 way down this page is what I did to mine. Essentially the same thing as replacing the bushing. if you like working with your hands, it's a fairly quick, simple and cheap fix.

This looks fun. How many miles on your cars? Curious when these bushings start to go.

The whiteline diff bushing kit with work in the second gen fx/qx70 subframe. I have installed it into my wifes qx70. Also the subframe bushing collars from z1motorsports works as well.

Helo, the whiteline diff bushing kit fits infiniti fx37s without any modification?
Mine also leaking and need to change
Can you give me the link of the bushing
Thank you

Hi. Will you be able to share which bushing you bought from z1? Is the bushing similar to 350z or the 370z? Thanks.

I personally used the whiteline bushing kit Whiteline KDT911 Black Bushing Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008PH5RRG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_GBET723X8W0QHKQM812E. I have used the z1 bushings and energy suspension bushings and the whiteline fit much nicer. I also used the g37/370z subframe collars from z1 Z1 370Z / G37 / '07-'08 G35 Sedan Aluminum Subframe Bushing Collars - Z1 Motorsports - Performance OEM and Aftermarket Engineered Parts Global Leader In 300ZX 350Z 370Z G35 G37 Q50 Q60 when i replaced the diff bushing. Hope this helps

Well 2.5 years later and it was my turn. Had the Whiteline bushings installed today. They tightened up the driveline nicely without any downside or whine. 55K on the car.

Has anyone got any input for the 5.0 rear diff mount? I take it these are all 3.7 installs.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure those were all V6 installs, the 5.0 stuff is different. Mine is dead too, and I'm thinking I may have to "pour" my own poly bushing.
