What, you moving to Germany, when? I haven’t made it to Colorado to visit you yet.
Wir fahren fahren fahren auf der Autobahn.

Wayne! I’m actually on the final leg on my move to Stuttgart. I’ll be out here for a couple years. Don’t worry, a trip down the autobahn and around the Nurburgring are on the planner!

Lol, enjoy. I loved Germany, my daughter worked at Wurtzburg University one year so we went over for a month and had a great time. All the best.

Sorry if I missed it elsewhere, but do you have a thread reviewing your ARK Grip exhaust system? I'm in the market for a new exhaust system and want something that gives the 5.0 a nice, throaty tone, without sounding too much like a Mustang GT. I found your vids on YouTube, and the exhaust sounds great at WOT. What are your thoughts on the exhaust note when putting around town at partial throttle?

I am absolutely a fan of your car BTW. Your dedication and attention to detail is inspiring.

First off, thank you for the awesome compliment!

Secondly, I’ve always been a fan of the ARK exhaust system -especially for the 5.0, as it sounds fantastic not only at WOT, but also at idle, low RPM acceleration and even downshifting during engine braking. It just sounds deeper and throatier without being obnoxious

You’ll have to deal with a slight increase in cabin drone, but this side effect is unavoidable no matter which catback exhaust system you choose. If you want a deeper, louder exhaust note then you should obviously expect this to translate to more internal noise.

Then there is aggressive aesthetic of the ARK system; those two huge resonators look fairly intimidating peeking out from beneath the bumper. So not only are you getting an incredible exhaust note, but your also getting the additional bonus of a matching aesthetic. It looks the absolute opposite of stock.

Thank you for the feedback. It sounds like the ARK exhaust may be exactly what I've been looking for to enhance my FX, both audibly and visibly. :)

If you have any additional thoughts or advice on the ARK exhaust, please don't hesitate to share. Fit, installation, where to buy or avoid buying it from...all will be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Sean

Okay - call me a technical idiot; but I can't seem to find what the f__k you just posted; no pics; nada - just old stuff, which admittedly - is freakin' awesome!

But...I was hoping to see what you did to wrap the wood trim of the interior (and learn why you wrapped?)

Thanks, PEEj!

I'm not sure what the issue is. I posted a few photos that I had taken during the re-wrap process, which should show up on page 7.

Wrapping the interior trim was the beginning of my foray into learning how to work with vinyl. I did it mainly because I wasn't too keen on the look of the wood paneling, as well as provide a small level of protection from scratching. Anyway, I had no idea what I was doing in the beginning but I managed to figure it out fairly quickly. It turned out really well, too.

I'm sure there are a few photos floating around on the site someplace.

I see all the wrap photos of exterior - but was curious to see what you did with the interior/trim. I personally like the wood and would love to swap mine from the glossy black to the wood (wanna swap...lol). But, appears the wood accents only come with the Sport edition. Don't care to use a wrap to get the wood-tone look. I'lll keep looking. Thanks!

PEEj - going back through your (awesome!) pics, noticed you have a shark fin antenne. Can you advise where you got it/vendor? Did you lose any reception distance, etc.?
How hard was the switch/install? I'd like to do the same.

Damm PEEJ just noticed the QX70 wrapped in black, damm that’s nice. I wish I had the $$$ to get it wrapped like that, I used to think the dark grey wrap was awesome until I saw this one.
