QX56 grille on fx?

yeah, just put them on today soon, damn they stop like you wouldn't believe, completely awesome upgrade, I had everything flying to the front of the FX tonight
I played with this a while in photoshop, the idea I had of doing the surround in black & keeping the center chrome looks really horrible, everything looks seperate & just stuck togeather. I agree that all chrome looks really nice but I can't leave the whole thing all chrome as-is because the new QX insert is perfect but the surround FX part is pretty pitted & scratched up. don't think I want a just chrome grille really though, it's not sporty enough, to much dress, if it had chrome wheels maybe...
to really get a perfect chrome grille I would have to get another chrome fx grille, probably a new one to be mint really. I just got another 06 up grille on ebay a few days ago but that one is stated as kind of pitted & not perfect either.

am i the only one that can't really even tell the difference? seems like a lot of work for not very much reward. only thing i can tell is that the FX has three bars floating and this new one only has 2

I like this one too dude .. I think this looks better, subtle but different.

soon man, you know the list of mods better than I do, just keep the coffee coming one thing I think you missed is the software emuation I'm working on with a few guys that gives a touch screen interface similar to the skyline GTR for gauges & OBDII interaction:
gchristopher, I've seen guys say they see no difference in the -05/06+ grilles, but there is a big difference to me. just glancing at the grille I'm building it may look very similar but it is actually very different, from the way the bars carry the emblem, to the differences in the bumps VS. the "dots" & "dashes" of this grille, I'll put up a close up & you'll see it is very different really. it's like buying a diamond ring, from half way cross the store they all look the same, but the details are what makes all the difference, the details of this grille are completely different. I never really loved the grille bumps. the way the bars carry the emblem has a big impact on the overall look of the grille too I like how this one flows there better too.
I think I'm going to go with that design jc, I could always extend the black more if I don't like it, but I think that has the right amount of black & chrome to match the rest of my black & chrome... I like black & chrome

I agree with this one it is good, plus you can see the detail of the grill!
I don't know, I may be biased, but I think this grille is total HOTTNESS! I could picture it color keyed to any color even, with color keyed wheels, just these 2 bars, I love the chrome trim on my fx, this ties in with it really nicely I think
paint's too fresh to assemble, but I did it, this is a 2 piece grille & I will eventually replace the outer ring with one in nice shape , aiya has generously offered to trade his "on-the-side-lease-return" grille for the pitted one I have coming, THANKS BRO'
