question about your tachometer

I'm not sure which one, however.....But not everybody knows that:wink:
yup, i'm one of those that didnt know that. so would that cause any future problems regarding correct mileage since the two instruments that record them are now out of sync?

and about returning your loaner... ive been in my loaner for what, almost two weeks? catalytic converter is on backorder. i contacted him today to see how much longer i should extend my work parking permit. Service advisor told me today he thinks itll be another two weeks but made no mention of returning the car. maybe it all depends on the service advisor.

I figured there was something else on the car that recorded mileage. Ah well, should make for an interesting carfax report nonetheless.

I guess it does depend on the deal about the loaners.

I got a 2009 G37x sedan yesterday, damn fast, but the tiptronic is a 7 speed. Way too many gears to be playing around with without paddle shifters. Otherwise a nice ride. I'd love to take a G37 6MT out and see how it moves.

i had the same exact problem!! rpm gauge was all messed up. stop and go and never moved smoothly. I too have a 2006 fx35. Just go to the dealer and they fixed it. had to ship it out to the factory or something and it was fixed.

I had a loaner for the better part of two weeks during my last service with no mention of it at all. Upon returning it however, I saw a loaner 09 FX sitting in the lot. Wish I would have seen that before... :frown:
My loaner was also an 09 G37x and they f-ing SMOKE. I floored it on the freeway during my first trip home from the dealer and couldn't help giggling a bit. Not motorcycle fast but it certainly surprised me. Loved the backup camera as well. My FX is 04 and does not include that little gem.

it was actually my first time ever driving an all wheel drive car.
I'd driven the rear wheel drive G37 in Phoenix as a loaner and it is VERY easy to spin the rear wheels on those. The all wheel drive was amazing in corners and very stable in the rain that we had. Like I said, it really is too bad they don't offer it in a 6 speed or with a better tiptronic.

i'm a new owner of an '06 w/the tach issue.

i'll keep my fingers crossed i can get this taken care of for free. i definitely don't want to pay dealer prices for a new cluster!

have my customer 06 fx35 for lighting mods for a week and i noticed the cluster (RPM) problem. It just "jumping" and not working smooth.. I just thought i would share. Maybe those FX years should have some recall on this issue since its happening so often..

I'm not aware of a recall or a TSB for the issue. Once I brought it up to the dealer though, they did not hesitate in getting it addressed, which makes me think it is a larger issue than I was lead to believe.
