pros and cons ***SPACERS***

+1-I ran the 20's on mine and were I to do it again I would go with 25's. With the 20's the wheels are tucked in just a hair too far still.

and are 25mm the largest spacers??? i agree with them looking more aggressive with a wider stance so i wonder if the 30mm would look good??:shy:

Not only are 25mm spacers the max for our cars but any wider and you will end up needing to shave the fenders if are dropped.

great. thank you.. so when it says pair on the website does that mean all four or just two??:k:

Pair = 2, so you will need two pairs for all four wheels.

Possible con, harder to get the alignment into factory specifications if you're dropped and use spacers.

I'm personally rather not use spacers and just get wheels that give you the stance/clearance you are looking for.

You may not want to get 25mm for all four wheels as the front will tend to stick out farther. I suggest 20mm/front and 25mm/rear.

Technically speaking, altering the suspension geometry in such a way (for visual reasons as opposed to an engineered improvement) has a negative impact on handling and the longevity of all related components. Think about holding a gallon of water out in front of you compared to hanging it on the end of a broomstick and holding the stick. Though its pretty much the same amount of weight, the change in geometry would put much more stress on your shoulder, elbow, wrist, etc... Granted that is a very exaggerated example but the principle holds true for wheel spacers, wider than stock wheels, and altering the ride height. The question is: Do these minute alterations create a difference any normal person can detect? It would seem that the answer is "no" considering the other replies to this thread...
I'm not against suspension mods and plan to lower my FX when time and finances allow, I just wanted to throw my $0.02 and say that there technically are "cons" to wheel spacers.

Never really had any problems with alignment with the 20mm spacers and i am dropped on eibach's depending on your current offset +18 is about at the fenders so you can do the math if you have 38 offset and you get 20mm spacers you should be good but like chedman said if you just get the wheels that will give you that stance there should be no need. spacers are for clearance issues for bbk and maybe if you screwed up like me and want that stance.

I have 3mm spacers in my front wheels so that my winter rims clear the BBK of the FX50 09'.

My question is, are there any cons of having spacers in the front only and not the rear?

And, i believe i read that the front tends to be more out than the rear by default. So adding the 3mm spacer would even show more, do i stand correct?

Thanks

why would you only put them in the front? get either the same for all of them, or bigger int he back...

yeah but only 3mm.... i need to get longer studs if i do that... and they're only for winter, so i don't know if its all worth it if its only for the look.

project kics spacers you dont need them but nobody really uses that brand FX wise....

what do you mean by "project kics spacers"?

well, that ends up with the same thing as pro-spacers from eibach.... the costs is almost the same as getting longer studs...

And from TurboCad, getting longer studs with normal spacers is much safer as i can understand....

true....so i would just go with a nice 20mm spacer from H&R and you can use them with your summer wheels too :)
