Powder Coating

And they won't strip the chrome? They'll bake right on top of that???

I wouldn't trust that as chrome tends to peel (eventually, you can't stop it!) I would think it would happen underneath the chrome and mess up the powder coat.

I tried getting a hold of a place back in Chicago for powder coating a simple gloss black, but I got no response :sad:

They mentioned that they do custom small jobs, not just spraying 15,000 pieces for industrial use type of thing...

I think he heats it up enough so that the paint can penetrate & merge with chrome layer. But that's me guessing.. :smile:

OH JEEBUS, perfect timing!!!

I'm driving my stock 20's from here in VA to there in Chicago in a lil over a week from now... I'm definitely interested.

I have some minor curb rash though... from a bad towing experience a year n a half ago... haven't had it fixed, will they do all the prep work as well? Media blasting and stripping and whatnot?
