possible problem with brakes?

Sorry J, I dont mean to jack your thread but has anyone experience the rotors locking up when its raining and you come to a hard stop??? After I release the brakes it feels like I just let go of the e-brake.

Yah, mine stick a bit from full stop when they're wet as well.

Damn .. must be nice to have a day off to mess around with my FX .. LOL .. good luck J.

dont worry about it...and i didnt have a day off i just dropped it off during my lunch period at school haha.

this is what happened in the appointment:

they decided tha the rotors were in fact warped, and they are shaving them down for me. free of charge:wink:
they just said my front pads were at 6mm, and my rear were at 4mm, so when it gets to 3mm i should replace them.
i also asked what would happen if i got aftermarket rotors: he said that they will still fix anything wrong with the brakes unless they know the problem was causes by the aftrmarket rotors :)

so....no rotorpros as of now......but maybe when i need new pads......rotorpros? LOL

so yeah....thats what happened.

alright guys- i'm getting new wheels put on and at the same time i think i want to swap out to new rotors and pads while they are off since my brakes are starting to get juddery and spongey when i brake again..

however, i can't find the rotorpro site/contact anywhere...

the brand seems to be either

silverstone rotors
and
EBC

anyone ever hear of these? haha

i would be nervous buying ebay rotors. especially at such a low price. you get what you pay for and rotors are not a place to skimp. i'm gonna go with stoptech's when the time comes.

My dealer did it for free because it was in warranty.
I know that the dealership in my area is ok. The manager is nice and offers free services like my dashboard replacement, while the other worker want to charge me a lot of money.
I would resurface if this is the first time. If you can get a good price on it.

Centric owns StopTech... They ( StopTech ) uses the same Centric Rotors that RotorPros uses. Kinda why I went with RotorPro.

so yeah...update:

my brakes got so bad that if i step on them hard my ABS goes off....and they makes a noise while I am driving......sooo I've been trying not to drive that much. hopefully I havent messed anything up from driving around in this condition

I ordered the RotorPros: drilled and slotted, silver zinc coated, centric Posiquiet brake pads, and stainless steel braided brake lines..... it came out to an unfortunate $480 but hey, i need new brakes really badly......but that also means I have to wait untill my next paycheck to get my nismo installed. (the brakes and braces are getting installed by a family friend's shop...free of charge)

That's good to hear your getting the labor for free.

Brakes aren't all that hard to do bro, if you have the time and patience it's fun to work on your own car.
I just have no idea how to put on new lines

i agree, but there are certain things I don't knoiw/don't want to do....like the lines. and I would rather not try my first brake install on my infiniti lol

What dont they just install the exhaust also? They're gonna have the car on a lift to put the braces on, just ask him to do it. It shouldnt take long to bolt the exhaust on.
