Painted center caps for GTR wheels

Got a set of used G35 center caps from eBay ($40 shipped for all 4) to replace the Nissan center caps that came on the GTR rims. I originally planned on keeping the Infiniti emblem chrome but the guy at the body shop told me the lines around the emblem will come out uneven. So i just told them to paint the whole cap. I didn't have the color code for the rim so I gave them the original Nissan cap for reference. Without a paint code i must say they did a pretty damn good job.

That's not a chip on the bottom. It was something else & was removed.

Sooo... From the looks of it the caps from g35 wheels are the same as gtr? (size wise) nice to know.
 
looks awesome! is it all plastic? maybe i can cut the bottom section and use this since i cant find 2 11/16 caps for my wheels (originally for bmw and benz).
 
Maybe I'll look cocky but you should PS them laser red to see how they'll look
 
I didnt wanna risk breaking or cracking the caps trying to remove the emblem. Its pretty much almost molded on. The shop is very reputable so i believed him when he said the lines around the emblem will come out uneven if he tried masking it. I have no idea what paint he used. It looks great in person & he did a fantastic job.
 
I think if u carefully masked the caps with tape and used a razor u cud get it almost perfect...then use a brush and paint it by hand. I did that on my old stock rims and it came out pretty good...wasn't that hard at all. I think a black emblem would look sikk on your red FX.
 
So I decided to get some infiniti center caps too. Just to be sure, all g35 caps are the same side as the gtr ones? Thanks
 
Well I hope they work cause i just bought a set for $35 shipped. I also contacted some other sellers on eBay for a deal so if any respond I'll let u know lance
 
Does no one know the color code for the GTR rims since I think I'm going to be getting my FX50 rims painter gunmetal instead of matte black.

Yeah the 2 1/8 ones right? Also are they removable without taking the wheel off? Or the only way is to push them out from the inside. Don't want to scratch the wheels up trying
