OSRAM D2S bulb help

So lately i been noticing all these new cars like the Mercedes, the new Mazda CX-9 and the Ford Explorer and even the new Q50 have these awesome looking headlights. There like a diamond white color with a hint of blue in them.

I have been doing tons of research and i think the output on these new lights are like a 5500K or 6500K.

Anyone know if they make any of these bulbs for our FX. I feel like our headlights are very white looking and don't compare to these new cars. I would love to have that very faint blue look to the lights with still have great light output.

Also, can anyone recommend a good HID kit for our fog lights? Looking to do a 6K fog light kit on the fogs and want to change the running light to LED.

I have the Morimoto 5000k for the fogs, also Osram CBI 5500k for the low beams. They are pure white and matches perfectly

haha yeah, let me know when you wanna stop by.

i'm running 35w..
55w will burn the housing
Because i heard the same thing and wanted to double check plus even the headlights are 35w after reading about it but you have to also purchase the ballast and the h8 HID bulbs for the foglights. Btw do you have any more pics of the headlights or how you set up everything in the space? Thinking of doing the same thing.

For now im gonna do the headlights and switch those out but gonna wait and see if i can match the headlights with led fogs and if i cant then ill buy the ballast. Its so f'ing expensive. But worth it to keep that modern look.

I'm about to upgrade the lighting on my FX. Here is what i plan on buying and need some help with a few things.

head lights - OSRAM D2S CBH Cool Blue Intense Xenon HID Headlight Bulbs 6000K
Fog Lights -
H8 Morimoto Elite HID Kit System With XB35 35W Ballasts

Can someone help me out with a matching bulb for the DRL's next to the head light? what brand bulb is good too cause i am having a hard time finding one. I also thought the bulb was a 194 but i think that's for the license plate so i'm not really sure.

I used the xenon white 194/168 bulb and it looks good it has the white with a hint of blue. I bought it from many cheap websites and the diodes would blow in months but now i bought it IJDMtoy on amazon and they are already been in for a year and work flawlessly. Plus they have a good warranty. iJDMTOY 5-SMD 168 194 2825 T10 LED Car Interior Map Dome Light Bulbs, Xenon White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008BCELBS?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I’m looking for some good hid replacement bulbs that would match closely to some led bulb fr my fog lights. Trying to find something brings and nothing with a bluish tint.

Best match for white LED bulbs in Fogs or DRLs are the Osram CBB bulbs. Used to run CBIs but the CBBs added just enough blue to match my DRL and slightly brighter than my old bulbs too... I’ll try to snap some pics.

I have used these in several cars over the past few years, including my previous Range Rover, without issue.

2 x D2S Genuine LUNEX XENON BULB 6000K HID compatible 85122 66040 66240 53500 UB 5060463910112 | eBay

Assume these will be available on the US Ebay too.

The light output is great and the colour is spot on as I have these fitted to my 370Z, and thus I'm able to make a direct comparison with the genuine Osram CBI I fitted to my 2013 FX at the beginning of the year.

The CBI was a great upgrade over the factory FX bulbs but I prefer the additional blue tint to the Lunex plus they are an absolute bargain. Just fitted a pair to a friend's BMW and now the Xenons match the LED halo rings.

So TRS is having an amazing discounts for black friday/cyber monday (Highly recommend ordering)

Need some help deciding what to get:

I'm definitely going with the OSRAM CBH D2S 6000K for the headlights. The light output and color is exactly what i'm looking for.

I'm torn between the Morimoto 5500K or 6500K Fog Lights... From all the research and videos i looked at i can't decide which to get. I really want the 5500K but from the looks of all the videos i watched, it kind of has a greenish hue to the light output which looks weird. I wouldn't mind the 6500K but it might be a little too blue for my taste.

Also, i want to go with the OSRAM T10/194 LED bulbs for the running light & license plate lights.

Do you know if our 194 bulbs for the outside lights require to be Canbus ready on our vehicles? saw some reviews for newer cars that it may require it or it will throw error codes?

I can confirm if your looking for the modern look and you want your foglights and headlights to match as close as possible and or want the brightest light output i suggest getting the OSRAM CBB D2S 7000k (got mine on amazon for $119-125$) they are genuine and you are provided with a genuine code to check on the osram website. Yes its 7000k but thats a gimmick that osram has with their branding. In reality its a pure white 6000k with the slightest hint of blue. I matched them with the morimoto XB led 5500k foglights (10 year warranty from TRS for 170$) and it is clean and modern and you cant tell the difference. If you are able to see the vid thats my CBB installed. The color will seem to go from yellow to blue to white but i just installed them in the vid but after putting about 50hrs on mine they are now at a pure white with hint of blue color. Also in the picture both the foglights and headlights look white but trust me they are the modern whitish bluish color. I have a 09 fx50s that had the stock original 4300k bulbs and they were too dim so after replacing them it was night and day difference. Goodluck on your decision. Also our 194/168 bulbs do not require canbus. Thats only european cars , bmw , mercs , etc.
