Odometer Recall

Hey all,

I took the FX in for an oil change and car wash this past Saturday (Sept 18) at Sewell Infiniti Dallas and the service rep told me that there was a recall on my 2007 FX35 (not sure if it pertains to other years) regarding the odometer. The rep told me that the odometer had an issue where it was tracking the mileage 2% - 5% higher than the actual mileage is supposed to be.

Has anyone else heard about this? I didn't receive anything in the mail or any notice.

In other news, the rental G37 they gave me has been a blast. Love the brakes on it.

Glad to see that the recall is finally happen.

there was a thread about in on the .org and how a class action lawsuit was started last year and not too long ago infiniti began the recall...

Thanks for the update, will contact my dealer about the recall.

Question to those under 21 who were able to get a loaner - did you know someone inside infiniti that helped you out?

I notice that my is always 5 miles over the actual speed. I have a Escort Passport 9500ix, it has a feature to display vehicle speed. There always been a variance of 5mph. I use the 9500ix on other car and the speed is dead on with the cars odometer. I just read about this over at the Org site.

Those a holes didn't say anything to me! I've noticed this problem forever. Have a 9500ix too.
Pat, I get a loaner mostly from knowing people but they don't even say anything now. Guess I'll check out Beshoff now and hope they give me a loaner.
Chris, Does the dealer lower the odometer by any chance?

They did a stillen s/c install not too long ago. Did you use them when you were up here? I heard they are kinda new.

OK guys--

Just got the car back. I wish I remember exactly what the mileage was when I took it in, but it did go lower. I was at 42,XXX and when I got it back the odometer had 41,077.

I'd call in advance and schedule a loaner, that way you definitely won't be without wheels.

also a 5mph difference at 80mph

slower speeds it is correct up to 30ish when the different starts appearing, using a percentage of the speed im not going and not a set number

Interesting. I'll bring it up next time I have to bring her in (crosses fingers)

I haven't tested if the speedo has been corrected. I was always told it was up to 5MPH off due to the 20" rims on it. No idea what model years are effected by the recall, they just told me I needed to do it on the 2007 FX RWD.
