It was a bit of work getting the system to fit on the 45. The overall compatibility I'd say was 90%, with 10% custom work needed (cuts, bends, and welding here and there). I have to say tho that as of right now the nismo exhaust on the fx45 does NOT sound the same as on the fx35. I thought the overall tone of the exhaust would be the same but only deeper than on the 35 but it is not. However, it is definitely throatier. My first impressions are as follows:

1. Less but deeper rumble at ignition
2. Tone is a bit higher in pitch but has deepened with time
3. Overall sound is different and very noticeable and aggressive on load
4. No immediate or long term torque loss noted

Also, I have not yet added UTR y-pipe so that may also change things. I wanted to add one variable at a time to see and feel the changes.

Note: With the addition of the 3in UTR Y-Pipe and the G35 extension piece the exhaust system seems to sag at the connection point of the two. So there was a need to add a extra hanger in that area for added support.

Compliments the nismo exhaust very well and gives a much throatier note and seems to free up the exhaust a lot more. Highly recommended!

Other than the differences in sound, is there any difference in performance that would be noticed when you step on the gas, or is this a mod that just makes it different from stock?

it wont add that much powerr, but it will sound liek it did. thats why im keepign the stock exhaust :)

You will gain some top end power due to the larger 3in Y-pipe and exhaust. Plus I think it sounds much better then the oem exhaust note.

1) It's Nismo!
2) You're tuned w/ Technosquare
3) It was made for a 3.5L V6

I could be wrong but I have a feeling you didn't lose anything! If the company made this and it was for a smaller displacement of 3.5L V6, I think you would only gain from adding it to a 4.5L V8, especially since you got it tuned.

Either way, whatever gain/loss, the sound is awesome and who else has a Nismo exhaust on a FX45 (or maybe you are the only one?)!

Trainerken has it on his 45

hey where can you get that done and how much would labor be? thinking on doing it for my fx45 not the 35

that actually sounds very good. like it's under tremendous pressure. i would have to del my cats to get it as loud as it is.

Not 2 be reachin, but about how much would a catback nismo exhaust set me back!

Brand new right now about $1,200 on ebay. But from a online retailer around $,1,500. The best way is to look around for a used system on the 350z forums.

Hey man just wondering, what Y I saw the UTR y pipe you used, tried to look it up and couldn't find one. Saw that guys are using the Megan V2 y pipe to clear the TC on first genny AWD systems. ANy thoughts. I have an 05 FX45

A lot of the brands from 10years ago dont support the FX anymore or don't exist. Kakumei also madea Y pipe but not any moe. YOu can look at y pipes from AWD G35 sedans

10..4.. Thanks bro for the info!!! I think I'm going with the Megan Y V2. Seems what the AWD's guys are using to clear the TC. I'm also getting some ISR HFC for the DE engines that I saw on Concept Performance's site.
