New SAVINI Wheels in progress for Ray

X6M runs 315 in the rear and i thought those were already crazy wide... 335 on a FX is going to be insane!

Now Rookie and Bert are both wide body. It will be interesting to this size fit on a stock body.

Wow do Lambos even have 335?

LOL i Checked it right away, wanted to know it myself either. Google search says the murcielago has the same widths but with 18". 295 front and 335 rear :smile (2):

I think that's what rookie and Humberto run

Indeed, as i mentioned before i am not the first to run these sizes on a FX, but seems the first we know here on the scene on a stock body. I know Turbocad had the same idea or with a semi fender build. He mentioned this when i visited his shop a while ago, but i think his first priority will be his engine for now.

I have another set of these tyres lying in my shop now for a customer with an BMW X6. He indeed ran oem 315 at the rear. I sold him some 315 Pirelli winter tyres last season wich were crazy expensive. I will be getting the Latest Breyton LS wheels for him in 10x22 and 11,5x22's this or next week. So i can practice mounting them on his wheels.

Honestly i might have been just a little bit to eager to post this tread on line, cause the big dilemma is the F%@##*&@ engine needs to go in first. That is in full progress right now but will still take a couple of weeks i gues for it to meet the car again. And with the wheels sitting right next to me on a daily basis it would never be fast enough as i want to put them on yesterday......patience ray......patience. :eek.:

What is the offset on the rear wheel? Can't wait to see them installed.

Haha i was wondering when someone would ask me this question :smile (2): Being a wheel/tyre guy and from a bussines point of view i would normally not tell these things. And i won't here in the netherlands. I am called on a daily basis by people asking me what the maximum specs would be for their car so they can order the wheels for 50 USD cheaper on the internet. They even get mad when i tell them i will not give any details unless they order the wheels and have made a down payment. You have to protect yourself nowadays when having your own shop.

But when me still being a big fan of this forum and helped me out a lot with my FX build i'm not going to play hardball here :smile (2):

I calculated from my prior specs:

Front 10,5 x 22 offset +40 +/+ 10mm spacers

Rear 10,5 x 22 offset +40 +/+ 15mm spacers

At the front i took the exact same messurments as i had but now without the spacer.

The rear i calculated howmuch the old setup came outwards. For me that was the maximum. The i check in wich offset i would get when wanting the 12 inch width. I got my numbers and messured if the body would have enough room inwards messured with my old gianelle wheels.
My new setup will be more inwards them oem is but it fits.

So new setup:

Front: 10,5 x 22 offset +30

Rear: 12 x 22 offset +45

Today i wanted to put one under the car to see for myself and make some pics as i cannot wait that long either. But the weather is bad so i will have to do that another time. Need to lower the car more probably either and engine is out so the perfect stance will probably come on a later stage, but at least show you guys some pics :good:

mounted one tyre saterday. didn't came to mounting it on the car though. will do that later on this week.
did make a picture of the tyre loose in front of a 185 tyre. still the difference is hard to see on the pic but if you look at me behind it you will see how massive this thing is lol.

My clients Breyton LS 10j and 11,5j x 22 came in today. Mounted the same tyres. I think he will stop by this weekend with his BMW X6. These Breyton are even more concave then my savini's.......WTF ??
Will posted pics along with the fitment on the FX :)

Finally came round to some testfitting.
I knew they would optical look smaller then the gianelles because of the lip and i know i have to lower the car more to close the gap.
Only thing i kinda doubted about was the fact that the prior 285-35-22 already were a bit lower in total height then my oem tyres and these new tyres are even lower.....even if it is a few millimeters ( eight of an inch ).
Thing is if you would put a clock in front of it i can close the gap at twelf o'clock due to the coilover suspension. But cannot do much at three and nine o'clock. I hope that when i lower the car these spaces will degrees as well.
I never noticed it so clearly as i do now with so little in tyre height difference. Maybe i'm being too anal and need to see the total picture when done. The question of today was........wasn't i better of with some 24's ?? I know the total stance of the car will be best with 22's cause i want the car to sit low but without airride i still have to be carefull........ Decide for yourself ;)
