I just got a 2004 FX35 2wd and need MODS ASAP...
Previous car was a nissan titan with allot of mods and it was fast....Now my new FX feels very slow....

What Mods do you recomend for NA power???

Allready plan to get the Nismo Catback...
What headers would you recomend??
Pulleys?
Intakes?
Tune??
ETC???
Thanks:smile::smile::smile::smile:

Also when I put headers do I eliminate the cats?? or are they further down in the bpipes??
I dont want to eliminate my cats..Would like to change them for HIgh flow ones but not eliminate them...
THANKS

Welcome to the scene! Going to be some work to match the brute torque from the VK56.

Nismo headers are nice but expensive. DC and Strups are some favorites.
UR Pullies have been done, some of my G buddies actually like this mod for throttle response.
LMS is a good pipe but a little pricey, the Stillen is a favorite for it's integrated feel.
Tune Technosquare flash would probably do some good, but you being out of the US makes it a litle difficult.

Since you are RWD the final drive ratio is a great mod for acceleration. You can either sources an AWD FX rear diff which puts you to 3.7 or you could go with an aftermarket 3.9 or 4.08 if you wanted to.

Doing headers does not require doing test pipes. A lof of high flo cats end up with housing cracking issues so keep that in mind. Working the cats will open up the top end.

Thanks!!!!!
TS tune shouldnt be a problem allot of z and g here have that...
I had Uprev in my titan and it was NICE!!! My best 1/4 mile time was 14.3

Is that possible NA in the FX??
What mods would I need??
Couldnt find much times from FX except for TT and supercharged FX...

14.3 on the titan is nice! Admittedly I'm not sure you can make anywhere near that time NA without extensive work, including drivetrain to bump the off the line take off.

California tracks are also not the greatest to gauge performance. From elevation, to wind conditions, to temps we don't get many breaks when we go to the tracks.

JAJAJA Oh well... Ill try...
Teach me the way....What do i need???
Allready have the basics down, intake, Headers, exhaust, tune, Spacer???
Would Jim Wolf cams work???

The final drive will help the 60' time at the track. 30.4" 70lb wheels and tires kinda suck, trapping under 100mph means you're getting to the end of the track almost at the top of 3rd which is cool. 4th being 1:1 is kinda sucky, but you need to get the overtire size down or make a whole lot mo powah.

HaHa!!

We have another JAJA'er living amongst us

Im going to see if I can go to the track next week to get a baseline...
Im really confused cause I had a friend who owned an FX and he would run 15:1 completly stock..???

SOrry for the JAJAJA's

I believe most production tests put the 35 to be in the low 16 or high 15 range. Would have to look that up, a 45 might have been rated in the 15s though.

If any country know drag racing it's PR.

Need to see actual slips to validate. But if it is true then it is probably the fastest NA FX35 in the world.

Thats why i had the ??? thats what he told me....
Never saw it @ the track but it was fast on the street...

Does anyone have a stroker kit??? 4.0L
I know thats very popular with na's 350z??

Don't think any FXers have taken on a stroker kit. For the costs involved with building the motor boosting it is more likely to happen.

The G/Z community has been running into some issues with aftermarket sleeves. Most of the longer lasting builds have not stroked or gone with sleeves. Headlift has been a big debate about what does and does not work. There's cool info to be read at the JWT site. http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/tech_details.asp
