New 2009 FX50S owner- My story

I finally found my black/black FX50S, but it definitely was not an easy find. I was looking for a certified Pre-owned black/black FX50 (i didnt really care if it was sport) but there was a limited amount across the U.S.

I found one about 40 miles away from me at Infiniti of Allentown. It wasn't a sport, but was in immaculate condition. It had 30,000 miles and seemed like a great buy. I talked the sales rep down from 42k to 38k and was ready to buy, but I wanted to sleep on it and reschedule for an appointment first thing the next morning they opened.

I came back ready to buy, but someone got there 30 mins before me, test drove it, and bought it right on the spot! I was so pissed.

The second car I found was an 09 black/black sport at Infiniti in NY. The car had 22,000 miles on it, but it was banged up. All 4 rims were scratched/dented, the front bumper was scratched up, paint chips and scratches everywhere. When I asked the rep why they didn't fix it up before putting it on the showroom floor, his response was "This is NY. It's how people drive. What do you expect?" He was definitely a "car salesman." It was very easy to walk away and was pretty much a waste of my time.

I finally found a great deal for my car now. It was perfect. '09 blk/blk sport in immaculate condition and only 12,000 miles on the odometer w/CPO certification. The rep was very professional and made it a great buying experience. I had the car shipped over from Pfeiffer Infiniti of Michigan into Philadelphia and have been driving it for about 2 weeks now.

My first mod? All around camera mod!

always nice to hear a great story, beautiful color choice, do you like how it performs?

I also have a 2009 Blk / Wheat FX50S. Bought it in Feb 2010 with 5600 miles for $49k. I just broke 12,000 miles on it (Retired!) What did you have to give for yours? This is my 5th Infiniti and the nicest car I have ever owned! This 390 HP V-8 is very quick but at my age I pretty much take it easy on the throttle.
Welcome to iS!

Glad to hear everything worked out and you got what you wanted in the end.. definitely the better deal out of the three. Ride looks nice and clean, congrats on the purchase.

What did you get the FX for?
My favorite part of the car is the tech package. Have you learned it all yet? :)

Congrats and I also think things happen for a reason now you wound up with a better whip. Welcome to :iS: all things FX. Happy Modding!!!

Yea, nice ride. Bennett Infiniti of Allentown sells their FX's pretty quick it seems. I was there for the 1st time getting service and they rolled a few while I was there.

I bought it with 12,500 miles for 45k. (They were asking for 47,995.) The car has so much acceleration that I'm not used to it yet. I'll punch it on the highway and it'll throw me right back into my seat! I've owned 2 M35's, '07 Altima, and my first car was a '97 Maxima. I've always stayed in the Nissan/Infiniti family.

It doesn't come with the full tech package like my M35x did, but navigation and back up/all around camera was good enough for me. I like having the sports package; it allows me to take corners a little better than without it.

George- Those guys up at Bennett Infiniti were definitely good guys, excellent service. It was too bad someone bought it before me, but I ended up finding a better deal. Pffeiffer infiniti did well by me as well. Infiniti of Manhattan? Not so much.
