Hi All,
I need some help with some bulbs on the a 2011 FX 35 if you would be so kind. I have tried looking this information up, and I think I have most of it figured out, but still a little confused on a couple of things.
It started with a fog light that got destroyed by a rock or something. And now I have a DRL out and one of the amber side markers is out. So I have decided to to replace all the front bulbs in one go.
I would like to stick with Plug and Play options only. Right now I was only looking at the Morimoto's just to keep everything consistent color wise (5500K). I know there are cheaper options out there. Really I was wanting to make sure that I have all the bulb types right and the quantities right.
Other IS members helped me pick out new Fog Lights, so I think I have that covered. I am going to get the Morimoto ones listed below in 5500k.
Infiniti/Nissan (Round): XB LED - Fog Lights from Morimoto HID
For the headlights, I am going to get these: Morimoto D2S -XB35
D2S: XB HID - HID Bulbs from Morimoto HID
One thing I can't figure out is how many of these I need for low and high beams. Do you just need 1 bulb for each side, or do I need 2 for each side (so 4 total, 2 for low and 2 for high).
For the Amber side marker lights (not sure what these are called) I was going to get these below in amber. Bulb type is 7440. Not sure if I need the "optional" extra load resistors.
7440: X-VF LED Virtual Filament Bulbs - Automotive Signal & Brake Bulbs from Morimoto HID
The DRL bulbs have me the most confused. I think they are supposed to be bulb 7443. I didn't even know that when the turn signal is activated they light up amber on the bottom. I do now.
So what kind of bulb for this? I assume I need 2 of them?? But not 100% sure. I don't know if they should be the white or the amber ones, or if these will even work. Or if I will need 2 of each color. Not sure about the load resistors on this either.

I think that is about all my questions. I tried looking this up in the forum and was finding threads where people said the Sylvania list can be incorrect. And it sure doesn't help me pick out quantities.
Thanks All,
Biggy
