You would need to talk to Adrian in R&D, he said he'd be happy to try it out. The unit looks like it would reach down into the colder air area in the front fender well (better than the JWT popcharger, which is a short throw and has to be picking up engine bay heat)

Any takers? Here's a shot of the product, difficult to tell from the image due to angle how the fitment works but based on what I can tell on mine it seems like it should work.

Have him ship it to you directly and test it yourself, Lance. You can do the fun part on your own. Who knows what you could be responsible for!

Wait wait wait!!! There is not a single manufacturer that makes an intake for a 45 yet?!

JWT makes the pop charger (I currently have this set-up) which is a very short mount assembly. As it is so short it is close to the heat, close to the heat, not so good......

Yeah, if no one steps up to try on the glass slipper I'll see if Adrian will work an offsite deal. Sometimes I am surprised that the manufacturers don't have a shop tech trying every fitment configuration for parts to see if they can't open up new sales venues. Yeah, they might be incremental sales but simply trying something on like a CAI, how difficult is that?

Lance, seriously -- how have you not bought this and tried it???

:smile (2):

If your shop can modify your NISMO exhaust, they can do this with their eyes closed.

I just replaced my pipe from the throttle body to the MAF sensor tube. Big difference in sound. You need to do this ASAP.

Oh and BTW this product lead was brought to you by the "master of research" Edward Chedman!

Ed can you please post a sound clip of you mimicking the new intake?

Anything as to the visuals on slammings development? I'll ask Adrian to see if they'll do a loaner test if no one can commit to the shop run by Friday.

I thought he was in the legal stages of patenting his CAI so no one can steal his idea.

Is there any reason at all to believe that the intake is any sort of bottleneck at all for power on the 45? Is the MAF tube the exact same diameter as stock? (i.e. - is fueling going to be thrown off??) Is replacing the stock plastic piece with metal (which will take on a lot more heat) really going to result in a cooler charge?

I'm new to these cars, but consider me real skeptical on this. Looks like a shiny noise-maker to me but I'm in for real-world results.
