If there's ANY chance of my '03 being of any value, I'll be down there tomorrow (or any day for that matter).
Doesnt hurt. Maf is different and position but I would go see if they can do anything.

Is there any reason at all to believe that the intake is any sort of bottleneck at all for power on the 45? Is the MAF tube the exact same diameter as stock? (i.e. - is fueling going to be thrown off??) Is replacing the stock plastic piece with metal (which will take on a lot more heat) really going to result in a cooler charge?
I'm new to these cars, but consider me real skeptical on this. Looks like a shiny noise-maker to me but I'm in for real-world results.
Maf tube same diameter.
Yes aluminum will heat soak more than the plastic.
Cooler than jwt yes cooler than oem no. Oem is enclosed and heat shielded.
You're getting into the cai debate, in the end yes I do believe it improves gas mileage, horsepower, torque, by helping the car breathe.
Stock has a lot of dead air space to help reduce noise so on low rpm it builds up air. When it is full it becomes straight through per say and higher rpm no real benefit only low end by going straight through pipe.
